Well, my husband was supposed to till the garden Friday but a thunderstorm came Thursday morning with heavy rains and strong winds. And so the ground was wet. The soil here is a type of clay so it gets really muddy when wet. Hopefully the weather will be pleasant the whole week so the garden will be ready for tilling this weekend. We are anxious planting
vegetables and flowers again this year.
I have started my garden already. Hope to reap a nice crop.
ReplyDeleteWe have tried to plant here and we had no success last year, but maybe this year we'll have better luck.
ReplyDeleteThe weather has been very strange all over the US this year--hopefully your husband will be able to get out there and start your garden soon!
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to hearing about all the vegetables and flowers you are going to grow. Keep us updated x
ReplyDeleteI look forward to seeing and hearing about your garden. I can't have a garden where I live because we are in a drought.
ReplyDeleteUgh! That is frustrating. I have to mentally gear up to garden because it's not one of my favorite chores so I would hate to get prepared and then have to put it off. Hopefully you will have better luck next week!
ReplyDeleteI do container gardening so no tilling for me. Our hoa will not allow a real garden :( Good luck getting yours planted
ReplyDeletei can't wait for a warmer weather as well to start gardening. i bet your excited to start planting veggies and flowers in your garden.
ReplyDeleteLike you, I was going to start cleaning the garden spots, every time i do that, mother nature always stops me.
ReplyDeleteWe tilled our garden a couple of weeks ago, we are growing radishes this year for our rabbits but am nit sure if they don't die due to the frost we had the other night, sigh.
ReplyDeleteI prefer muddy soil than sandy soil ... ours is the latter so; we need to buy top soil all the time for gardening ... not good
