Touched With The Warm Greetings

I am thankful for another year that God has blessed me with.  Looking forward to more fruitful years.  My birthday falls on a Tuesday so the celebration will be this coming weekend.  We'll just have dinner at my favorite restaurant.  I am very touched with my honey's sweetness and his parents' thoughtfulness.

Look who's anxious to eat my birthday cupcakes. :)

I love this sweater.  Very comfortable.

Yummy chocolate cupcake.

Very nice and unique bangle.

Of course, I appreciate all the birthday greetings and wishes from everyone.

Weekend Snapshot: Fried Foods For Lunch

In this cold wintery weather, one of the ideal foods that I like to make are fried seafood and fried chicken. Well, let us say I am craving for some seafood today.  Gladly I had shrimp and tilapia fish in the freezer.  My household does not eat seafood too much except for fried shrimp.

Fried shrimp in batter

Fried tilapia

Fried chicken wings
Before I fried these chicken wings, I boiled them in a little water, a little vinegar, garlic, ground black pepper, and salt for flavor.  And they turned out really good.  I like dipping fried foods in ketchup.  My little girl does too.

Our Christmas Stockings

We are very happy and thankful that we had a safe flight, and we are home.  Two weeks after arrival from a month-long vacation in the Philippines, we just stayed home and relaxed.  Though we are still in the weird effect of jet lag, our sleeping time is getting close to being back to normal.

Here we are in Tyler to spend the weekend with my honey's parents.  We missed celebrating Christmas and New Year's with them but our vacation in the Philippines during the Holidays with my side of family was a wonderful one too.

Last night as we were getting ready for bed, my mother-in-law handed us our Christmas stockings.  It's pretty neat.  And so, here's what I got.  The items on other side of the pile belong to my honey.

Snowing With Thunder And Lightning

There's a thundersnow this morning. My husband called me to look at what's going on outside.  It was snowing!  First snow we experienced since we got back from a month-long vacation in the Philippines.  We missed the White Christmas in Texas so I am thankful that we, especially my daughter, have seen snow this year.  And it's my daughter's first time to experience playing in the snow too.

It is warm and comfortable inside the house because the heater has been fixed.  Though I have a plan of going out shopping today but will just postponed it until the next pleasant day.

Y'all be careful on the road right now.   Be cautious on sleet and ice.

To Keep The Faucet From Freezing

Before we left for vacation December of last year, my husband did a lot of checking in the house.  As far as utilities are concern, he made it sure that no water is leaking inside and outside.  He bought outdoor faucet covers to keep the garden hose faucet from freezing while we're gone.  Because we left in December, his dad told us that it snowed on Christmas Day.  We missed it, but we had a wonderful time celebrating the Holidays with my family back home though.

My husband is really good in taking care of the house. He wanted everything to be in place, safe, and well-maintained to avoid costly repairs.
