Weekend Snapshot: My Christmas Tree Is Up

It's December once again my dear friends.  There is no denying that the Christmas cheer is in the air.  As early as August, I have seen some stores displaying Holiday decorations already.  So jealous because I have been wanting to buy Christmas decorations early but I have to wait until after Thanksgiving.

Anyway, as soon as we arrived home from our traveling on Thanksgiving, we put our Christmas tree up and decorated it.  So here's our Christmas tree this year. Ain't it lovely?

Treat Your Nails With Cool Festive Nail Polish

Pure Ice Nail Polish Deja Vu
I love my nail polish this Holiday season. It looks cool yet festive to me.  I have always adore royal blue color.  This Pure Ice nail polish Deja Vu is in royal blue with shimmering glitters and a little bit of purple in it.  So nice.  My fingernails are looking sexy, I think.  Haha!
Glittery blue- Pure Ice Deja Vu
Pure Ice have so many selections of nail polish shades that you can pick and use.  You can get them at your nearest Walmart stores at a very reasonable price.  You can even order them online.  I recommend a top coat for this though.

Happy Holidays!  Enjoy your time with the family this Christmas. Merry Christmas!

#CelestialTea Candy Cane Lane Green Tea Holiday Tea

I love tea.  I put honey as sweetener.
Happy New Year!  Yes it is the New Year.  We had a wonderful Christmas celebration with the folks and the rest of the family.  We attended the worship service on Christmas Eve, had a delicious meal, and enjoyed the moment of company and gift-giving.

Christmas time is the most cheerful time of the year.  It is the occasion we look forward to so we can spend more time with our families and friends.  Sharing the joy of the season together comes with great and delicious meals.  At mom and dad's, tea is the usual drink served at the table.  Cold, warm, or hot it doesn't matter.  We love tea.  It's supposed to be good for you.

I was so glad that Influenster has given me the opportunity to try this Candy Cane Lane Green Tea Holiday Tea from Celestial Seasonings which is included in the Frosty Vox Box that came in the mail.  A cup of hot tea is perfect in this cold weather.  What I like about this tea is that, it has mint flavors.  I like mints.  They're cool and soothing.  That is what Celestial Seasonings Candy Cane Green Tea is - soothing.  It is decaffeinated so I don't have to worry about being up all night when I drink this tea late in the day.

I drink tea with or without sweetener.  If I do, I mix honey.  And the Candy Cane Lane Green Tea Holiday Tea tasted much better with honey.  And it's healthier.  We really enjoyed it.  You, too, should try the Celestial Seasonings Green Tea.  For more information about their tea flavors selection, check and follow them on Twitter at https://twitter.com/CelestialTea.

Christmas Celebration 2014

It's the Holiday season. Christmas presents were ready.
Yes I began shopping and wrapped Christmas gifts almost every night after Thanksgiving Day.  It's a little stressful thing to do but it is exciting at the same time because I thought of the special people in my life while gift wrapping.

We celebrated Christmas at the folks'.  The kids couldn't wait to open their gifts as soon as we arrived from the worship service and finished eating the meal on Christmas Eve.  My darling daughter got some great stuff.  She even received what she was wishing for - a Barbie Dream House.  She also received a Go-Go Fur Real Friends Puppy.  Thanks to her aunt, uncle, cousins, Na-na, and Paw-Paw.

Liver Dip. So good.
The Christmas Dinner was so delicious.  The highlight dish of the evening was the Liver Dip.  I thought it was ice cream when I first saw it.  I tried it and it was so good.  Mom makes delicious food especially on occasions like this.

Samsung Galaxy S5 cellphone.
I enjoyed watching the children taking turns in opening their presents.  Sometimes I helped my daughter opened hers.  My Christmas gift this year was given to me in advance already.  I asked for a new cellphone and my dear husband let me get it.

How about you?  How's your Christmas celebration?  What did you receive this year?

Company Christmas Party 2014

Let us celebrate.
Happy Holidays, everyone!  It's the most wonderful time of the year.  Families and friends get together.  Holiday parties are held everywhere.  I honestly tell you that Holiday season is my much-look-forward-to time of the year.  I always feel the cheer and excitement when this special occasion comes.

My husband and I attend his company's Holiday party last Saturday.  It was held at an Italian restaurant.  I was glad that the venue is closer to our place this time and I just had to let my cousin watch for our darling daughter for a few hours that evening.

It's great to know and see that companies like my husband's give yearly Holiday parties like this.  It is very motivating and rewarding.  I got to meet and mingle with his co-employees in parties like this.  And, it is also a great time to celebrate for the wonderful year that the company had.

Merry Christmas!  Cheers to you.  And let us not forget the main reason of the season. We are remembering the birth of Christ.  We are celebrating a birthday.  May the Almighty's graces be with us in the New Year and always.

Weekend Snapshots: Christmas Wreaths

My custom-made Christmas wreath from last year.

Christmas wreath I saw at a garage sale.
The Holidays are fast approaching and I cannot wait to put our Christmas decorations up.  But I cannot start until after Thanksgiving Day.  I am shopping for new Christmas tree ornaments.  My daughter and I are planning to change the color theme for the tree this year.  And, maybe, we will buy a new tree next month.

For the front door Holiday decor, I saw this red wreath at a garage sale.  I thought of buying it but I recalled I have my own Christmas wreath in the attic.  I will just hang it again next month.  Although red is my favorite color, I will just stick to my own wreath.  I think mine is prettier. :) Don't you think?

And So Our Christmas Tree Is Up!

Hello everyone!  It's December 1 and my family is helping me decorate the house for the Holidays.  See how my little one put the Christmas balls?  She was very excited about this decorating thing soon as I told her that we are putting up our Christmas tree this year.  And so, our Christmas tree is up!

She's my little helper.  :)
Under the tree with her buddy bunny.
I have to make a wreath for the front door.  My daughter and I will go to Hobby Lobby maybe this weekend.  And I still have to look for nice Christmas decorating ideas.

Party Dresses For The Holidays

Oh dear!  It's the Holidays again.  I bet you all are getting busy decorating and putting up your Christmas trees.  Or, maybe you have done it already. :)  But you haven't done any decorating for the Holidays yet, well, better start now before you get swamped with party invitations.

Speaking of party invitations, my circle of friends have organized a Christmas party to be held next weekend.  I am excited because this is the first time I will be attending my friends' Christmas party.  Now I am shopping for a party dress and shoes to wear.  Stores have been very packed and crowded on Black Friday so I am just doing my shopping for cheap evening dresses online.

www.dressfirst.com
What I was thinking to wear is this cute lovely A-Line/Princess V-Neck short dress.  I found this evening dress as I was browsing Fall collection of evening dresses 2013 on www.dressfirst.com.  I am not a tall lady so this style and length is just right.  I think it's so cute to wear to the Christmas Party.  I love it!  This comes in different colors too.  I am falling in love with this simple sexy elegant red dress.  It is also an A-Line/Princess V-Neck style, but a floor-length dress.  I bet my curvacious friend will drool on this one. :D
Now I know what style of dress I want, so better shop and buy the perfect shoes, too.

Don't wait until the last minute before you buy the perfect outfit.  Go to dressfirst.com and start shopping. :)

Our Christmas Stockings

We are very happy and thankful that we had a safe flight, and we are home.  Two weeks after arrival from a month-long vacation in the Philippines, we just stayed home and relaxed.  Though we are still in the weird effect of jet lag, our sleeping time is getting close to being back to normal.

Here we are in Tyler to spend the weekend with my honey's parents.  We missed celebrating Christmas and New Year's with them but our vacation in the Philippines during the Holidays with my side of family was a wonderful one too.

Last night as we were getting ready for bed, my mother-in-law handed us our Christmas stockings.  It's pretty neat.  And so, here's what I got.  The items on other side of the pile belong to my honey.

Enjoy The Holidays With Lots Of Food, Company, and Laughter

Winter is officially starting now.  And it is Holiday season once again.  Some of us are traveling these holidays to spend Christmas and New Year with families.  Some people are flying, cruising, riding a train, or driving.  Whatever means of transportation you acquire to travel, always be safe.  Bring all the necessities needed for traveling like cell phones, first aid kit, chargers, and other personal stuff.  And enjoy the holidays with lots of food, company, and laughter.

MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL!

There Is No Place Like Home For The Holidays

"There is no place like home for the holidays..."

As Christmas Day and New Year is approaching, the more I miss my family and friends back home.  I love the way we celebrate Christmas and New Year in the Philippines.  I feel very anxious to see them and spend the holidays with them right now.  My cousin and her family is on the plane this moment heading to the Philippines.  Aw...I wish I am flying with them too.

But I am looking forward to our next vacation, hopefully next year.  And it will be on the Holidays.  Yay!  God bless us with good weather and safe travel.

"For the holidays you can't beat home sweet home!"

It's Christmas Time

Missing my family this Christmas time.  I am hearing Christmas songs on the radio and they make me feel bluer.  Although, the excitement raises me up.  I still have to organize the gifts for my love ones.  My Christmas tree is up but not as tall as last year's.  We have a fiber optic tree this time.

Anyway, below is one of my favorite Christmas song.  I have always liked the melody of it.

Thanksgiving Day Is A Family's Traditional Get-Together

Cool and chilly Thursday.  Still feeling tired and sleepy, we hit the road to Whitehouse for the Thanksgiving dinner at about 8:15 yesterday morning.  It was so foggy.  My honey thought it was just a lake fog and if we are on Terrell, it'll be gone.  But it was foggy all the way to Tyler.

Everyone was at my SIL's house.  As soon as my little girl saw her Nana, she looked very excited and started jabbering like she's telling Nana something.  My baby immediately joined her cousins playing in the living room.  They had a great time.

The table was already set when we arrived.  My FIL did the cutting of the turkey.  There's corn dressing, mashed potatoes, baked sweet potatoes, ham, grean beans casserole, corn salad, wine and champagne, pumpkin and lemon pies, and all other delicious foods prepared for the family's traditional Thanksgiving feast.  As always, we all had a wonderful time.

What's next is preparing for Christmas and New Year's.  I haven't done my shopping yet and I did not go to the Black Friday shopping this morning either.  I will take it easy.  No stress.

Twinkling Lights Of Christmas

Guest post written by Marty Ford

It doesn't officially feel like it's the Christmas season until our whole family is standing in our front yard and watching me flip the switch to turn on all of our Christmas lights. My wife always makes the joke that it's like the National Lampoons Christmas Vacation where Chevy Chase flips the switch and knocks out power to the rest of the town. Well that doesn't happen, but I do like to make sure that my family gets to see all of my hard work's result.

I was online a few weeks ago, ordering some of the last Christmas lights for our house, when I came across some DIRECT TV INTERNET BUNDLE specials, read a little more about them and signed our family up for one of them.

I'm especially excited about some new Christmas lights decorations that I put up this year, like a huge inflatable snow globe in the shape of a snowman that has fake snow blowing inside of it. It looks so neat! I have a spotlight on it so that you can see it at night even better, although it lights up itself.

Holiday Parties, Galore

Guest post written by Ben Sanders

I always feel blessed around the holidays. Maybe even more-so now that I'm retired with my wife living the good life! But really, this time of year gives us a chance to get back to what's really important: family, and fellowship. We make it a point to have two big parties each year: one amongst our family members, where we spend the evening together eating, watching movies and exchanging gifts, and another amongst our friends and neighbors, where everyone brings a dish and we hold a holiday pot-luck. And this year? No different.

I'm looking forward to this more than ever (and not just because I've been craving my wife's amazing baked lasagna she makes for it every year!). I've really had the urge to get back to what's important and fix the things in my life I sometimes let fall by the wayside, like the relationships that are most important. In preparation, my wife and I are trying to spruce up the place with www.homeproimprovement.com to make it as nice as can be. These are, after all, the memories we keep the longest!

Trick Or Treat?

We still have lots of candies left from the trick or treat last night. 'Not so many kids came unlike the first Halloween when I got here two years ago. Last time, children and young adults from the nearby community came and visited our neighborhood for the trick or treat.

Hah! Caught in the act.

Halloween 2008

Well, we will save the left over candies for our next package to be sent home.

Early Display Of Christmas Decor

After my first doctor's appointment in Collin County Health Care Center, I winded up visiting the The Village Shopping Center in Fairview. Using the gadget I got from a girl friend, I was able to drive around the area.

The department stores are a couple hundred feet away from each other. No main shopping mall that connects a store to another. But I like how the shopping center looks though.

When I was about to leave the department store I visited, I saw that the store already has Christmas decor on display. Wow! Makes me feel excited for the holidays to come.
