What Makes Your Heart Happy?

What makes my heart happy?

Simple things like:

The sound of birds chirping on a bright sunny day...the laughter of children playing outside...and the noise of construction vehicles running on the road with honks and hauls. 'Weird for the third one ain't I?

I just realize, when I was walking down to the back of the apartment complex that, my heart is happy hearing and seeing those huge trucks working on hauling dirt from the hill. Maybe, because, I am not used to the quiet surroundings. I like it when there is movement and sound.

Anyway, why are these trucks running here and there? According to my reliable source, a toll road is currently in progress...right by the apartment complex where we live! I spent a couple of minutes watching the work men and their trucks. Seriously, I enjoyed it though dusts are all over the place. It is the (frustrated) engineering work that interests me to watch them.

How about you?

Refund Request And Package Handling

Well, the merchandise for return is already on its way to Walmart.com. Still I could not believe they consider my request for refund. Honestly, the merchandise is not been used. It is still in its original packaging. I do not want to have something in my possession that I will never use...for now.

I will wait for the receipt confirmation (signature required) for the returned merchandise. It is very important to have your deliveries with confirmation receipt with required signature so you know that your package is handled well.

Always Be Aware Of Store Return Policies

I do would like thank Walmart.com for considering the return of the merchandise I purchased online many weeks ago. See, I bought a computer accessory which supposed to for my laptop. But the wish of having a laptop is not going to happen anymore, I sent Walmart.com a communication that sincerely explains the reason why am I returning the item. And seriously, they accepted it.

But I have to sign an agreement. I am responsible to send back the item within 30 days or else, they will recharge me for its cost. As soon as I signed the agreement, Walmart.com processed the return online and they credited me a full refund.

I appreciate you for doing this. Thank you, thank you!

Create An Alluring Summer Look

I have been thinking of having a hair cut in the summer. In hot season, we should look fresh and sporty. I usually do that...getting my hair cut shorter.

Short hair styles are a trend in the summer. Because of hot temperature, I noticed that long hair adds heat to my body. So I always have it a routine trimming my straight hair. And short hairstyles look cute. Short hair is easy to manage too.

But if you have long curly hair and you want to look cool in the summer, get a hairstyle that fits your personality. You can cut it shorter but use some hair accessories to make it easy for you to manage. There are many useful beauty information available online. They are good reference to create a very alluring summer look.

Report Of Marriage And Passport Renewal

Okay, today I had my Report of Marriage documents and passport renewal application submitted to the Accredited Philippine Consul Notary Public. I would like my passport renewed and amended to my married name. There is a notice to all Philippine passport holders that we should have the Machine Readable Passport or MRP starting April 1, 2010. I was like, what? My passport will expire in 2012 but it is still the green one. That means I should get the new one soon!

In order for me to renew and amend my passport to MRP, I should have my marriage reported to the Philippine Consulate because it will be the basis to change my name. So I need to hurry for the filing and get an appointment at the Philippine Consulate Outreach in Texas which will be held on May 1-2, 2010.

All my paper works are in order. The person I talked to said they will give me a call for updates of the filing.

You Bet!

Like everyone else, I like sports. In fact, I had always participated in our Intramurals when I was in high school. I was not gifted with an athletic body but I did a good job then.

The most popular sports that people liked back home is basketball. Some are die-hard fans of local teams. I remembered that I even made some money out of it . How? I asked my family, neighbors and friends to bet on 'Ending' - the ending numbers of the basketball game's final scores. I won in my own 'Ending' card a couple of times. Sports betting in the 1990's, 'Ending' specifically, was rampant. My uncles did a few of basketball bettingbefore. They also bet on sports other than basketball.

I know winning is sweet but losing is bitter. All it takes is responsibility.

Better Switch

It's sad. I could not even find sensible programs (aside from Discovery Channel) on television anymore. There is nothing but reruns and lame reality shows. I do not like reality shows. To me, they are just fake.

Ah, why am I whining? What am I complaining about? I chose to be here. Hey, something has to be done because I am not happy with it anymore. Better look for a replacement. But my honey said, it is the same whatever service you get. Because you cannot find programs that the whole family can watch together.

Smells Really Good With Renuzit Triscents

My apartment smells really good right now. Why? I got Renuzit Triscents Air Freshener. I have been looking for it in a while. I could not find it in some grocery stores nearby. One time I found a couple of scent variety but the one I like better wasn't there. And they are not so affordable at the grocery I went to. So I stopped searching until I surprisingly found one at Albertsons. You know what? It's the scent I like the most! Would you believe it? I guess that is the only one remaining since the store is having it's rearrangement and a staff must have found the air freshener behind the shelves or somewhere. But, I am glad I found it and paid only $2.00 (it's original price is $10 plus because it includes a plug).

Well, I am enjoying the scent of it. I wish I can find Renuzit Triscents again.

Weekend Snapshot: Strange Weather

The forecast is it's going to be freezing tonight. And the possibility of snow fall is gonna happen. It is true. The wind blows like crazy and little snow flakes fall from the sky as the wind chills. Mists on the ground are blown by the wind.

Souvenir From China

My honey's one week training class is over. Now he has the weekend to relax and enjoy his day off at home. He said he is tired though they are just sitting there in the training room but their brains are working and absorbing a lot of information. Whew!

When I got home the other night, my honey told me that he has something for me on the table. I saw a fan. He said his co-employee based in China brought some stuff from there for everyone at work. There were a lot of souvenirs but my honey picked the fan. He though I might like it. I do. It is great to use in the summer. Now I have a fan to carry in my purse.

My honey asked what the inscription on the box means. The Chinese guy said it means "Premium Scented Fan". Hhhmm...interesting *smiles*.

Who Doesn't Want To Cook?

I do not know anything about cooking until I lived with my aunts in Manila when I was a working student. My aunt's sister-in-law prepares food for the family because my aunt doesn't know how to cook either. If the house has the complete kitchenware, who doesn't want to cook?

The sister-in-law taught me simple dinner meals. Of course, those are the food that I like cooking because they are very easy to prepare :) My cousins and uncle are picky eaters. He likes to have vegetables but the children are not much into it. So it is always the three food groups on the table. Healthy huh? Everybody should eat at the table on meal time. And the table should be set with proper china and flatware.

That's good though.

Work And Travel

My honey and his co-employees are having a training class for the whole week. He has to go to work earlier than usual. Some of the co-employees came from their company's China office. They work as Software Engineers.

Another thing is, the boss wants somebody to go to China to help for their project there. And my honey is one of the employees whom the boss asked about that. Will my honey consider traveling and working abroad...for six months?

Paying Too Much For Uninteresting Programs

It is just so frustrating that whenever we watch television, most of the shows, programs, or movies on are reruns. And when we flip channels, mostly are st***d commercials. If no commercials on, reality shows that are not interesting are on. Honestly, I am not into reality shows. *Sigh*. We are paying a high monthly subscription rate for this television and Internet service bundle. Though there is no complain with the Internet connection but, with the tv channels? Ugh! It sucks. We need to look for a new, interesting, and affordable service package. This is included in our plans of cutting bills payment to as little as possible so we can save money and stretch the budget on other important matters.

What's next? Cellphone.

Hanging Plant Growers

Spring is coming again. And my mother-in-law's birthday gift from her daughter is very much in for the season. It is a hanging tomato grower! I haven't seen a grower like that before. It is kinda weird to have tomatoes grow upside down. But my mother-in-law wants to have one.

Well, it is gardening time again. My plants? Nah, they are gone. I do not know if I can still revive one of them. 'Really makes me sad :(

For Your Child's Safety At Home

Caring for the family does not only go with the basic needs like food and clothing. Shelter comes with the two also. Safety in the home is one of the priorities we continue to provide especially for the young children. Toddlers and young kids are always curious. They like to know what's this and what's that. They crawl, climb here and there. In short, they are kids :)

I know that there are parents who always look after their child's safety at home. But there are times, when they are busy working on chores, their attention were totally off the kids. Caring parents do put some child safety guards in places like living room, kitchen, and bathroom as protection from accidents. Home appliances should have guards too. Outlet covers should be placed to prevent little fingers from sticking in power outlets. Table corners are danger zones too. So corner cushions are attached so kids won't get hurt if they bump their heads while playing or something.

There is nothing more important than being safe and secured everywhere even inside our homes. I know there are many child safety ideas and the above mentioned are among them.

Today's Humor: New TV

Just something to tickle your funny bones :)

----------

A farmer finally decided to buy a TV. The store assured him that they would install the antenna and TV the next day.

The next evening the farmer turned on his new TV and found only political ads on every channel. The next morning he turned the TV on and found only political ads again.

When he came in to eat lunch he tried the TV again but still only found political ads.

The next day when he still found only political ads he called the store to complain. The owner said that it was impossible for every channel to only have political ads, but agreed to send their repairman to check the TV.

When the TV repairman turned on the TV he found that the farmer was right. After looking at the TV for a while he went outside to check the antenna. In a few minutes he returned and told the farmer he had found the problem. The antenna had been installed on top of the windmill and grounded to the manure spreader.
