Home For A Lifetime

Some people find satisfaction and contentment in buying real estate properties especially if the property is located in a very serene place.  A property in the islands is close to perfection. If you are planning to buy a property in the near future, consider looking at the listing in SeaGlassProperties.com where you can find condos, residential, and land properties available.  Also the places like Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands are good location for retirement.  Surely if you fall in love with the place, it will become your home for a lifetime.

Weekend Snapshot: Busy In The Yard

We are ready for gardening this year.  My husband usually starts getting busy in the yard last weekend of April.  He woke up early today to pick-up the Tiller he rented from Home Depot.  The rental amount reached about $70 including the platform for the Tiller. The soil in the backyard is firm.  So he had a hard time controlling the machine.  After the hard work, he cleaned the tiller very well so there won't be an extra charge.  Tomorrow we will buy some flowering plants and vegetables so we can start planting already.

Leak Problem

Here is that leak in the guest room's ceiling.  We are very frustrated.  The builder came over a week ago and checked the rooftop.  He suggested a roofing guy to fix the problem.  When the roofing guy came and as soon as he climbed up the roof and looked at the area, he said something is not right.  So this morning he came back and climbed up the roof again replacing some, I am guessing, shingles.  Hopefully there is no more leaks somewhere because leaks can do a big damage in the house.

Unique Decor

I went to see my doctor today.  This appointment was only for consultation.  I will be having procedure (minor surgery) on Friday and today, I was given the instructions and reminders.  Yes, I am 100% sure of this.

Whenever I go to doctor's offices or even in corporate offices, I never missed the chance to look at the office setting.  I always admire the interior decorations.  Paintings, wall hangings, and fixtures fascinate me a lot.  I bet it costs a lot to get all those office decor.

Wall decor

The photo was taken while I was waiting for my turn at the front desk.  The above wall decor really got my attention.  I like how they are made.  So unique and colorful.  There are lots of home decor ideas you can get at a corporate office or at the doctor's office.  You will be amazed how nicely these ideas will come into action and applied to your home.

Choose A Finance Company That Offers The Best Loan Rates

My life has never been easy.  When I was young child, my family can hardly keep up with the daily needs.  Me and my sister barely had money for snacks in school.  Money has always been scarce in my life.  Let's face it, money is important in order to survive in this world full of struggles. Growing up with such low resources, my parents worked very hard to provide for us.

It was when I was already working a full-time job when I approached a finance company to help us join the livelihood program in our community.  They grant low interest loans to qualified applicants.  I was a part of the group who requested for the loan.  Each of us has different plans with the money.  It was a very happy day for me when my loan was granted.  My parents got to raise hogs.  It became helpful at first.  But when one of the hogs got sick, the business did not last for long. At least my family and I finished paying the loan.  We were thankful for giving us the opportunity to try requesting for loans from the finance company.

Nowadays you cannot avail loans immediately.  They have to check your credit score and stuff like that before you can be approved for a loan.  As reference, sunrisefinance.com provides information about loan rates comparison and different types of resource about applying for loan.  There are many types of loans - student loan, house loan, car loan...etc.  Interests rates depend on the type of loan you avail.  There are finance companies that are considerate on payments.  Paying on-time is very important so, if you plan to get a loan again, your request will be processed and granted quickly.  When deciding to get a loan, choose the company that gives low interest rates so you can pay your obligation without any hassle.

Small Kitchen Electrics As Gifts

It was a very pleasant day here in Texas on Saturday.  My mother-in-law and I went to a Bridal Shower Party for her granddaughter held in Allen.  The party was small and simple attended by close friends and family.

Two days before the party, I went to buy a gift for her.  She is registered at Target and Bed, Bath and Beyond.  Shopping at Target is more convenient for me.  As one of the things she have in her wedding registry, I got her a small electrics for the kitchen.  She can use it to open canned goods.  You know what it is?  I just had a new one given to my by a friend on my birthday two years ago.  And I can say  that it's neat, so useful in the kitchen.  It makes my life and cooking easier.

New Rug And Mat For The House

Okay, so as my husband told me, I bought a rug and a door mat today.  I went to Kohl's and used the $10 Coupons that I acquired from two purchases I made two weeks ago.  I had fun looking at home accents in the store.

I wasn't sure of our old rug's measurement so I picked the largest one in the shelf.  The price of the indoor rug for the entrance is $49.99.  The outdoor mat costs $24.99.  In addition to my coupons, the store have a promotion where you have to pick a scratch card for a 10, 15, or 20 percent off your total purchase.  I have picked the 15% Off scratch card.  All in all I only paid $ 16.24 (includes tax) for the items.  Not bad for a home accent like an entrance indoor rug and outdoor mat.  We needed new of those.

My next purchase will be throw pillows for the couch.  And I know where to go to shop for those.

Keeping The Bugs Away

My husband is spraying bug treatment around the house this weekend.  Spiders and centipedes are everywhere.  This is a routine to keep the bugs away.  Spring is the season for Junebugs and they are all over the place.  We find them outside the house-at the back porch, front porch, and garage.

Bug treatment helps keep the home free from nasty creepy insects.  And we don't want them in the house!

Nourish Your Garden With Miracle-Gro® Expand ‘n Gro™ Concentrated Planting Mix

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of Scotts® for SocialSpark. All opinions are 100% mine.

Here comes Spring.  My husband and I cannot wait to start gardening again.  This will be the second time we will cultivate a part in the yard for a vegetable garden.  Our front yard is getting ready for the flowering plants we are planting.

Last year was not a great year for the tomatoes.  We harvested cracked tomatoes as soon as they got ripe.  According to what we have read, the cracking of the tomatoes is caused by over watering.  My husband couldn't believe that was the reason.  He thought it was the extreme heat of the summer last year.  Now he has an idea what to control so grow and harvest great vegetables this year.

On the other hand, the soil in the flower bed in the front yard needs some pampering.  We will try using Expand ‘n Gro™ planting mix for the flowering plants.  It said to be effective in keeping the moisture longer in the soil.  The flower garden is facing the west so the summer heat can burn the plants out.  We need something to keep the soil nourished.  I hope our gardening will be successful again this year.

Celebrating Four Years Of Marriage Today

Today is our 4th Wedding Anniversary.  Amazing how time flies so fast and it seems like yesterday that I walked down towards the Gazebo in the Rose Garden of Tyler, Texas.  The wedding day was wonderful.  Though my family wasn't there to attend the memorable event in my life, I was still thankful for everything.

On Easter weekend we went on a trip to Tyler to celebrate Easter with my in-laws and, at the same time, to visit the place where we got married four years ago.  This time, a beautiful little princess is with us.  After lots of adjustments in married life, here we are standing in front of the Gazebo happy and blessed.

My family

As for the wedding anniversary gifts and stuff, I bought something for my honey.  But he will get it next weekend, before our trip to Oklahoma.  It is something he will be able to use in the kitchen because he likes cooking.  I wonder what he bought for me...hmm.

Occupied With Stuff

Still a bit tired from the visit with my hubby's parents, my mind is occupied with stuff related to the upcoming occasion this week.  Our wedding anniversary is on Thursday.  We do not have plans except dinner.  The schedule to go on a trip to Oklahoma is moved to the next weekend because my mother-in-law is flying to South Carolina to attend a special event for her grandson, who is currently attending college in Citadel,

I did not buy any card for my honey because I decided to write a personal love letter to him. :)  Cheesy.  I have surprised wedding anniversary gift for him though.  He'll be happy with this gift I bet yah.  I don't have an idea what he's got for me.  Anxious.  I would prefer he will grant one from my wishlist.

Easter Weekend At Parents' House

We are in Tyler for Easter weekend.  Baby is happy to see her grandparents again.  My mother-in-law has a lot of Easter decor in her house.  Easter bunnies on display everywhere.  So nice to look at and very neat.

These look really pretty on the dining table.  Little Easter eggs hanging on the tree.  Male and female bunnies candle holder.

This little chick is very sweet and cute egg.

I admire my mother-in-law for having a wide-range ideas on theme decor for the home.  She said she will help me work with the projects in my house.  That would be very wonderful.

Lots Of Red Bulbs!

I never thought my lovely tiny rose bush will give me lots of bulbs this year.  Seems like the rainy weather few weeks ago as the Spring season enters helped its growth big time.  My  honey is amazed with the sight and, of course, I feel happy.  I hope it continues to bloom flowers so our flowerbed will look pretty.  We are planning to plant flowering plants again this year.  I am excited for our front yard to be colorful again.

Dwarf Rose.  It's getting  big.

You see how dry the soil is?  Well, it dries out quickly so we are gonna buy garden soil to add on there.  It needs loosening too.  Lots of yard work coming.

Saving Energy With Spring Cleaning

Boy oh boy!  Just thinking about it gives me a headache.  I am referring to Spring cleaning.  Yes.  I just started it in one room as of the moment.  And oh I can say that my back hurts already.  My goal is to finish the general cleaning this month because we are gardening again in May.  My husband will be needing my help in the yard for sure.

Spring cleaning is an annual routine.  You will find how much 'junk' you got.  Hahaha!  Just kidding.  Besides, you fill find treasure in your house, too, that you don't know off.  Eventually, we need to save money and energy too.  By adding a few extra chores to your cleaning list, you not only will enjoy a spic-and-span household, but you will also save energy and money leading into air conditioning season.  So by following these helpful tips from Farmers Electric Coop we will be able to minimize energy consumption.

1.  Dust your lamps and lightbulbs.  The dust and grime on the bulb make it dirty, reducing the amount of light it gives off.  Replace burned out incandescent with energy-efficient CFLs.

2. Clean your air filter.  It it's over a month old, replace it.  Replacing the air filters allow your HVAC system to run more efficiently.

3.  Clean the air-return vents.  Make sure drapes and furniture are not blocking them.

4.  Dust your blinds.  House too cool for comfort?  Leave blinds open to let the sun's rays heat your home.  Home too warm?  Keep them closed to block the sunlight, keeping your home insulated.

5.  Vacuum the refrigerator coils.  The dust buildup causes the fridge to run less efficiently.

6.  Thoroughly dust your electronics, and if they are not in use, unplug them.

7.  Scrub your tub, and then install a low-flow showerhead.

I hope these help you organize your Spring cleaning ritual too.
