These items came in the mail just in time for Valentine's Day.  I was given the opportunity by Influenster to try the new REVEAL Calvin Klein Men fragrance.  Included in the Voxbox is a mini card holder which is very ideal for business cards.

Good timing for Valentine's Day, I was thinking of giving my husband a new fragrance.  I sprayed a little of the sample on my wrist.  It has a sensual and striking smell to it that I think my husband will like.  It's like when you smell this fragrance on a man, the get-to-know action is quite possible. 

Calvin Klein makes sensational fragrance products and the Reveal scent defies masculinity but not overpowering.

Waterproof Eyeliner #FrostyVoxBox

Well, I received very nice gifts last year.  The Frosty VoxBox from Influenster was one of them. Included in the box was a Rimmel Scandaleyes Waterproof Kohl Kajal Eyeliner in black.  I don't wear makeup so often so sometimes it takes a long time for me to finish painting my face. Hahaha.

Christmas Celebration 2014

It's the Holiday season. Christmas presents were ready.

Yes I began shopping and wrapped Christmas gifts almost every night after Thanksgiving Day.  It's a little stressful thing to do but it is exciting at the same time because I thought of the special people in my life while gift wrapping.

We celebrated Christmas at the folks'.  The kids couldn't wait to open their gifts as soon as we arrived from the worship service and finished eating the meal on Christmas Eve.  My darling daughter got some great stuff.  She even received what she was wishing for - a Barbie Dream House.  She also received a Go-Go Fur Real Friends Puppy.  Thanks to her aunt, uncle, cousins, Na-na, and Paw-Paw.

The Christmas Dinner was so delicious.  The highlight dish of the evening was the Liver Dip.  I thought it was ice cream when I first saw it.  I tried it and it was so good.  Mom makes delicious food especially on occasions like this.

I enjoyed watching the children taking turns in opening their presents.  Sometimes I helped my daughter opened hers.  My Christmas gift this year was given to me in advance already.  I asked for a new cellphone and my dear husband let me get it.

Our Christmas Stockings

We are very happy and thankful that we had a safe flight, and we are home.  Two weeks after arrival from a month-long vacation in the Philippines, we just stayed home and relaxed.  Though we are still in the weird effect of jet lag, our sleeping time is getting close to being back to normal.

Here we are in Tyler to spend the weekend with my honey's parents.  We missed celebrating Christmas and New Year's with them but our vacation in the Philippines during the Holidays with my side of family was a wonderful one too.

Last night as we were getting ready for bed, my mother-in-law handed us our Christmas stockings.  It's pretty neat.  And so, here's what I got.  The items on other side of the pile belong to my honey.

Tatay Turns 60!

It's my Tatay's birthday today.  He is 60 years old.  We are thankful that he is keeping himself healthy.  My family back home had a small birthday party for Tatay.  My mother prepared a few dish for the party.  My siblings contributed some amount of money for the cake and softdrinks. 

My tatay  was very delighted to receive his birthday gift.  A bottle of Polo Ralph Lauren men's cologne.  "I've been wishing for this.  I haven't smelled this fragrance for years until today", he said.  It's his favorite cologne.  Good.  'Glad he likes it.

Weekend Snapshot: A Gift From My Friend In Thailand

A friend sent me a holiday gift and I just got it in the mail from Thailand.  We have been friends online for years and she is so sweet to me.  I did not expect it but I surely appreciate her thoughtfulness.  Now I have an addition to my scarf collection.

Double Celebration

 My friend and I agreed to have a small get-together party in celebration of our birthdays this month.  The party was held at her house because her place has more room than mine. :)  Aside from eating delicious foods, we also enjoyed singing videoke.  My friends are great singers!

I am so pleased with the kind thoughts and well wishes my family, friends and blogging pals have sent me on my special day.  'Love you all!

Weekend Snapshot: Gifts Exchange

It has been a tradition in the family to do the White Elephant Chinese Auction Style exchanging gifts during the Christmas party.  It has lots of fun and everybody has a chance to get the gift you like from someone.  A gift can be stolen three times.  And if someone gets that gift taken the third time keeps it. 

I got a foot spa set with candles and holders.  I thought somebody should not get it from me because my feet need some pampering.  Glad no one stole it from me.  I love it!

The Gifts Are Ready To Ship

I am so late in sending the Christmas presents to my family this year.  Actually, I have not packed the box yet.  I just finished sorting out the clothing, body essentials, accessories, and chocolates.  I also just finished wrapping gifts for everybody.  Next is the packing of all of these in the box.  But there are still small bits lacking that I have to buy soon.  The package could have gone two months ago but I got very busy organizing a special event-my sister's 18th birthday.

And now, it's shipping will be delayed again because I will be busy preparing for my daughter's birthday party.  Sure my family understands my situation.  It's just that, there are outfits for my niece and nephews here that will not be worn on Christmas.  I am a little frustrated.

Gifts From Brazil

I received a surprise in the mail. It's the package from a friend in Brazil, Sissym of Blogzoom and Masquerade. She was telling me about it before I gave birth.

Sissym and I met online thru blogging. She is from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. We got comfortable sharing experiences in our daily lives. She is down-to-earth and has a strong personality. It is very sweet of her to send a gift for my baby and me.

It is difficult to find a good friendship. But I believe, that you found one, it does not matter wherever she or he may be in the world. As long as the communication is constant and the friendship is true, you will treasure each other.

To Sissym, thank you so much for the lovely gifts.

Strolling Around In Bad Weather

Today, my friend N came over to my place to give her present. It is a summer dress. Then we went to a jewelry repair shop to pick up her necklace. At lunch time, we drove to my honey's workplace and ate at Chilli's. It's a bad weather today...heavy rains, thunder and lightning. But the weather did not stop us from strolling around. We went store hopping. N bought a purple outfit while I got an off-white dress. She drove carefully and safely. Man, I cannot imagine myself driving in heavy rains that you can barely see the car in front of you. Scary.

Travel Essentials And Accessories

I am so excited about my friend N gave me for Christmas last year. It is very unexpected. She gave me a gifts set of a travel bag, travel pillow, cellphone case, mini pouch, and a hand cream. Isn't she sweet? I love her.

My gift to her is a pair of silver earrings that will match her silver necklace. I hope to see her soon so I can give the birthday gift I got for her.

It Would Be Fun

It is my friend N's birthday! Yay! I bet she got the day off for her birthday. Good for her. I bought a present for her. It is a DKNY shirt. I like the color and fabric. Surely it will look nice in the Spring and Summer.

My birthday is coming too (on January 29). I do not know if N and I can hang out and celebrate our birthdays this weekend. Last year we went to Downtown Fort Worth and sang karaoke in one of the restaurant bars at Sundance Square. 'Have not called and asked her yet. That would be lots of fun if we can hang out again. In the meantime, my gift for her will stay with me until she is off any time this week.

Pasalubong Or Gifts

Distributed the pasalubong or gifts to my workmates today. I brought them some dried fruits such as mangoes, jackfruit, and tamarind. Also I brought some fresh water pearls for my manager and girl friends. There are a couple of coconut whisky or lambanog which I will be giving to my boss. I hope he will like it. He does not have to try it if he does not want to. 'Will not hurt my feelings...as a collection display is fine.

My friends in and out of Texas asked me a favor to buy something from the Philippines, then I will just ship the stuff to them. So now I am occupied with packaging and sending stuff to my friends.

The pasalubong we brought for my honey's family is still in the bag. I have to take care of that, too, before Thanksgiving comes.

Jessica Simpson's Fancy Love

The buying and preparation of gifts (pasalubong) to family and friends are starting now. As in now. Though we just sent a package few weeks ago, my honey want to get something special for my family.

Our travel date is fixed and final. All we need to do now is to confirm all hotel reservations in Cebu, Leyte, and Manila. My time on the Internet may be limited but I will still do my jobs. Keeping in touch with you guys is one of those.

We went to Ridgemar Mall yesterday. My honey bought some fragrances in a department store. I told him to do it online but he wants to smell the perfumes personally. That is fine. I love going to the mall anyway. My youngest sister will be very delighted with what my honey bought for her. It is Jessica Simpson's new scent called Fancy Love. It has a sweet smell and just suited for a teenager like my sister. I think we got all the women in the family covered with the perfumes, but he wants to buy some more...just in case.

Know The Scent They Like

I was very glad that we came and visit my in-laws in Tyler. Also, I was able to give a birthday gift to my sister-in-law...though it was late. Better late than never.

The day was beautiful so me and my mother-in-law went downtown and bought the Pretty perfume that I had in mind for a present. Good thing my sister-in-law loves fragrances, so looking for the scent was quick.

Perfumes are the perfect gift to love ones too. If you want to give someone a fragrance, you should know the scent they like so they will not be disappointed with it.

Out-Of-Town Trips Are Always Great

A visit to my my parents-in-law has always been great ever since I came and meet them. My husband has a wonderful and beautiful family. They treat me nice and I love them.

We went to Tyler again this weekend. We used the new car and I drove all the way over there in the evening after I get off from work. It was a smooth and comfortable drive. My honey called his dad to tell him we will be arriving at about 1:00 A.M. When we arrived, dad and prissy (their dog) were waiting for us at the door.

As usual, mom prepared a delicious breakfast while dad made the good coffee. Then mom and I went to the mall because I had to buy a present for S, my honey's sister. She had her birthday last month but we did not come for the celebration because I had to work the weekend of her special day. Mom told me she likes fragrances, so I bought her a new scent from Elizabeth Arden called "Pretty". Mom said S and family is coming over for supper. I gave her the gift and she liked it!

We enjoyed the spaghetti, garlic bread, and salad that mom prepared. We watched the fishing video after supper because S have not seen it yet. She likes fishing so much. Sure time passes by when you are having fun. It was almost the sleeping time for kids so S and family went home. Mom, dad, my honey and I hung out in the living room for a while. Then when we got really sleepy, lights turned off and we went to bed.
