So my husband and I are still talking about how we can get more from our television subscription. As you know, we are not happy with our tv viewing right now. We are paying too much monthly subscription but all we get on tv are reruns and junk shows. Well, I know some viewers like reality shows. Though some of these shows are fun and entertaining, others are just unacceptable.
My husband and I are in the middle of looking for new and affordable service provider. I hope we can get helpful information about cable television from www.cabletvadvisor.com. It's been two years since moved back here to the house in Texas and we are paying unreasonable monthly rates on our current home entertainment service provider. Then we can't watch a particular kids' program because we do not have HD and we need to get a new HD device. What's annoying is that, we have to rent this device. But it says in the subscription package that the show is included.
Hubby is still weighing things right now. As for me, I would like to switch now. I hope we will figure it out very soon because I think it is time to end paying too much on tv subscription.

I just stick with NetFlix, Project Free TV and my HDMI cord. Cable is entirely too expensive!
We just got tv. We only used hulu and netflix before but my husband missed the sports. We joined directv. It the best time for us, we were able to take advnatage of triple savings for 2 year. If you're interested you can use me as a referral to get $10 off your bill for $10 months.
As soon as my contract is up with Dish, I am done with cable.
We used to just use Hulu and netflix but I missed my lifetime movies and being able to watch tv on the tv. I ended up subscribing.
I live in a house of all boys but myself. I decided this weekend that I was going to take control of one of the televisions and get to watch moves I liked. I sat and went through the guide for several weeks figuring I could record shows. I found absolutely nothing. They laughed at me because I handed the remote back over and went running. At least I will remain active because there is nothing on television I want to watch. Good luck with your search, if you find a good clean family type show, please let me know.
I am all about live streaming now with Netflix, Amazon, Hulu etc. I still have some cable but as soon as my contract is up I am disconnecting it to save money.
i don't want to give up my Directv but i would like to pay less
as for us, we don't have t.v. in the house, ever. yep. we rely in the internet and movies for media. We love to read news though. If I want to watch a particular show, I'll just go to my Mom in law's house and watch it.
Netflix or Hulu sounds like it might be a good alternative.
I hear you! That is why we no longer have any TV subscriptions except Netflix online. We only use our TV too watch DVDs or some old movies from a VHS. There are so many junk shows on TV these days and not worth paying that much money. We had to cut it off and we did. Good luck on yours.
It may be more than what you want to spend, but I've come to the conclusion that if you want a variety of channels and programming, you have to pay a lot! We looked at cable options and satellite and although basic packages are reasonably prices, the add-ons to get the service in multiple rooms or to expand the channel line-up add up quickly!
We have directv and they are pretty expensive,.
pretty interesting. i really don't like paying too much tv subscription when i dont watched that much
Ours, we have Internet-TV-Phone bundle so; we are happy with the price and the service is good.
We have COX and it's a bundle plan, comes with internet and phone service along with cable.
