Bird On A Sign

Mockingbird.
Bird watching?  Not really.   I just love taking pictures of birds whenever there is a chance. They are quick so sometimes I had to be very slow and quiet so they won't fly away.

This mockingbird was tweeting lively on a post across the road in front of our house.  I was standing in front of my husband's truck, as you can see, that's the roof top of the truck.  It makes me feel good to see and hear birds singing around.

New Digital Camera For My Sister

I received a message from my sister-in-law letting me know that the packages I shipped to them and to my parents were delivered.  And she was thanking me for the belated Christmas gifts and other goods for the family.  I was also thankful that they packages were delivered without any issues.

One of the items I put in the package was the graduation present for my baby sister who, at the time of the shipment of the package, was graduating from college.  My dear husband and I gave her a new digital camera because we knew she enjoys taking pictures.  Of course, we sent her some other nice things too.

This morning while we were chatting on Facebook, she sent me a few of the pictures she took with the new digital camera.  She liked how great the features are and the focus is nice.  So I am sharing these pictures.  I really liked them, too.

I Decided Not To Go

I feel very tired and lazy today.  Plus the weather is bad, raining and windy.  Great.  I cannot drive on this weather with baby on board.  In fact, I am supposed to be attending a bridal and birthday party today but because of the stormy weather, I decided not to go.

Anyway, I just thought of something fun to do so that my daughter will not get bored like me.  Gladly the lighting in the kitchen has been replaced and is bright enough to cover the living room.  I put a chair in the middle of the living room so baby can climb up and down and crawl under it.  Then we enjoyed bird watching by the window.  A flock of robins are feeding in the backyard.  Wind gust and pouring rain did not disturb them.  Birds all over the place.  In the front yard we saw a red head bird pecking on the tree.  When I showed my honey the picture, he said it's a red-head wood pecker.  Cool.  I love birds.

Weekend Snapshot: Enjoying The Brightness Of The Day

Can you spot the bird? I took his picture after eating lunch at a Mexican Restaurant. It's a beautiful day and he's there relaxing, enjoying the warmth of the sun in the shade of the hedges by the restaurant.
