Fun Activities and Things To Do at Beaver's Bend State Park Broken Bow Oklahoma
We spent a few days in Broken Bow, Oklahoma during the Spring Break. My darling daughter liked to go back to the Beaver's Bend State Park. It's a very relaxing place with lots of things to do.
K was looking forward to see lots of deer again. And we did. We also went hiking and night walking (we called it - night investigation). Then we rode the train at the train depot inside the park. We weren't able to ride the horses this time because the tickets were sold out due to prior reservations. There were a lot of campers as well. My husband and I were talking about camping at Beaver's Bend State Park in a couple of years. Aside from fishing, camping is one of main thing to do at Beaver's Bend park. If you enjoy camping, this is the place to go.
Another fun thing to do is boating on the lake. The Broken Bow Lake is huge that visitors to the park can enjoy boating, jet skiing, and even swimming (only in swimming areas in the summer). Just being near the water brings you peace and serenity.
We cannot wait to go back and ride the horses next time we visit Beaver's Bend State Park.

Lazy Day After The Trip
When I work so hard for long hours or being on a trip for a day or two, tiredness doesn't get to me much on the same day. It will kick in the next day that will make me feel so lazy and tired. And that's what I felt the other day.
We went on a trip to Oklahoma Sunday to visit and to have a family adventure in Beaver's Bend Park. We went to the lake and had quality time just me, dear husband, and darling daughter. It was a very pleasant day. There was a forecast of severe thunderstorm and tornado warnings in some cities of Oklahoma but not in Broken Bow. I thought we won't be able to stroll around the park the next day which is Monday.
It was only a two day adventure but I was tired and worn out. My dear husband let me drive to and from. We got back home Monday evening and we didn't do anything after dinner. We're all tired and slept early. Tuesday was a lazy day for me. I did nothing but eat and watch television.

| Sure the water was inviting. A couple of kids were playing on the beach while the other one was swimming in the cold lake water. |

Cheap Hotel Accommodation Is A Privilege
Tomorrow we will go to Oklahoma to celebrate our third wedding anniversary. It has become our tradition to drive there and play for a while. We only do this once a year you know.
I booked the hotel room seven days in advance so we will not have a last minute hassle. Surprisingly, the room rate is still the same as what it was a year ago. I am so glad! After all, we are players' club members and this is one of the privileges.
The place is only an hour away from the house. So it will not be an exhausting travel for us.

At The Resort Hotel
It was a very pleasant day. The drive to Oklahoma was smooth and safe though the wind was blowing like there is no tomorrow. We checked in at the hotel at three o'clock in the afternoon. We made it on time. The resort hotels' room is simple yet cozy. Besides cable TV, refrigerator, microwave oven, and flat iron, the room has a closet where we can organize our clothes. Hangers are also available for our jeans and shirts. I brought a couple of under shirts for my honey just in case he needs one. I would say I did a good job in packing our stuff last night.
The resort has a very pretty pool and spa. To make sure we have the proper clothing, I brought his trunks and my bathing suit. I hope the wind will not be harsh tomorrow.

Godiva Teddy Bear 2009 Valentine's Edition
I thought I would not be able to get this pretty teddy bear 2009 Valentine's Edition from Godiva. This is the only one left at the customer service area of the store Friday night. Everything else were gone since the department store I am working in is having up to 70% discount sale.
When I worked closing Friday, I have not decided to buy the teddy bear until the last minute of going home. I told my associate to save the stuffed toy for me for I will pay for it the next day by phone. I was on a day off Sunday. We went to Dallas and Oklahoma so I did not get the chance to go to the store.

When I called my associate she said that the teddy bear was gone. But she told me she will ask our home department manager if there is another one left in the store. I was so upset. My honey said maybe it is not meant for me. So I just ordered and bought some scented candles instead. When I was done paying for the candles by phone, my associate told me that our home department manager found the last one Godiva teddy bear and she did not make me pay for it. She gave it to me as gratis. Yey! I was so happy! Now I have a new teddy bear.
Thank you so much Miss J!

Unexpected Luck
Oh yea...guess what? After meeting our friend in Dallas and all the errands, we went to Oklahoma. It was not a planned travel. We were just talking about going up there on a day off until we agreed to go up there this weekend.
I drove from Sherman to the casino in Durant. That was the second time I drove on a superhighway. Good thing it was not busy or else I had freaked out. Anyway, we arrived at the Choctaw casino at about 3 o'clock in the afternoon. I looked for the slot machine that I used to play. Boy, it was a hot one! I won $500.00. Unexpected luck indeed.

What Is Your Schedule This Weekend?
This is the question my honey asked me while we are having lunch today. I told him I will close the store tomorrow and Sunday. "So there is no chance for us to go somewhere tomorrow," he said. "What will I do on those days?", he asked.
Well, I told him that he can start working on his side project again. In fact, he already installed the program he needs for the job. I know what my honey wants to tell me. He wants us to travel to Oklahoma this weekend because we both know we miss going to the casino (chuckles). Maybe if I have two succeeding days off on a weekend this month, we will go to Oklahoma.

And Red Hot Ruby Shared Me Some Money
Having a vacation always feels good to me. Especially when you go to the destination where you will have lots of fun and enjoyment. This weekend my husband and I went to Oklahoma as a treat for getting the stuff done at the house and also as celebration for our wedding month-sary.
No other place we had in mind when we asked each other where to go. Choctaw Casino Resort. Choctaw Casino Resort is located in Durant, Oklahoma which is about four hours drive from West of Fort Worth. As what I learned, native American Indians started the casinos during the reservation period in Oklahoma. Right now the Choctaw casinos are presently owned and operated by the Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma. (Shinade, it is nice to know you lived close by the casino. Maybe we can meet up there some time.)
We got an overnight room accommodation at the casino's hotel. We played the penny, quarter, and one dollar slot machines. I enjoyed playing the Football, Money Bags, and Red Hot Ruby machines because they were paying and gave me free spins. I got all excited whenever I hear the sound of winning machines because there are winners around. We did not do well but we just managed the cash we had throughout Saturday night.
The next day we went to the old casino building after we checked out. We played there for four hours. Whenever I feel the machine is not paying, I looked for another one. I had a thinking that the Red Hot Ruby one dollar machine will pay so I inserted in the machine the last $20.00 ticket I got. My husband was beside me when the machine gave me a free spin and hit the Cross Corners pattern on the screen. And Red Hot Ruby gave me some money of $340.39. Oh that was fun! It was like we played at the casino for free. I can still hear the machine's ringing in my ears. (You are right Mae.)

Have You Traveled to Oklahoma?
Oh yea! I am very excited now. After the busy weeks in October, we finally have everything at the house settled. We will hand-over the keys and give the important contact numbers to the renters this coming Saturday.
My husband and I talked about giving ourselves a treat…a relaxation somewhere romantic and fun. Actually he wants us to celebrate the accomplishment we had last month, the house being leased and the successful moving. Also, it is our seventh wedding month-sary and we want to celebrate it as usual. I was looking forward to the trip until my honey told me that he scheduled us to go to Oklahoma this weekend. I was so surprised.
Yahoo! But...oh no!
Yahoo, because it has been four months since the last time we were there and the place we are going to is loud and has much fun. Oh no, because we are going back to the casino. ^_^
How about you? Have you traveled to Oklahoma?
