It's A Pajama-Kind-of-Weather Today

It was raining all afternoon, thank goodness.  It was pouring. The weather is so nice that I was feeling very lazy and sleepy all day. I sat on the back porch while sipping hot coffee after lunch while watching and listening to the heavy rains pouring down.  The temperature wasn't that cold, but I felt more comfortable with socks on.

As a stay-at-home mom and full-time housewife, there comes a time that I really needed to unwind without leaving the house unattended.  I mean, I go out with friends sometimes or just me and my darling daughter go to town for a little recreation.  But there are moments that I don't want to go out but I want to have a me time at home.  What I do is just I go to the guestroom, play some mellow music. Meanwhile, watching cooking tutorials, and do-it-yourself (DIY) home improvement stuff, and beauty tutorials are fun and enjoyable to watch as well.  There are so many tutorial videos you can search on the Internet.  Once you learn about these things, you will not stop looking for more.

On the other hand, I also enjoy joining giveaways and sweepstakes.  In fact, I already won several products, items, and cash.  My favorite Instant Win Games site so far is JuliesFreebies.com.  It has lots of giveaway/sweepstakes listed on daily basis.  They are updated daily and so many games that you will be interested to enter.  The site also gives you a chance to claim free product samples from various brands.

Comfortable Footwear At Home

I love lazy Sundays.  I just like to be in my lounge wear and I also love wearing my Nike Slip-ons with memory foam and comfort footbed.  They're very comfortable and my feet feels relaxed.  I am on my feet most of the time because I play with my child and do household chores, too.  My feet feels cold easily especially when I am on barefoot.  That is why I always wear house slippers.  

I bought this pair for $12 from Kohls I think two years ago.  I think the retail price now ranges from $24-$30 a pair.

Great Day In The Patio

It's a lovely day today in Texas. We are here at our folks' in Tyler.  The usual visit.  This afternoon my father-in-law and my dear husband planned to fry some chicken.  So we had home fried chicken, macaroni salad, and deviled eggs for dinner.  My brother-in-law's here too and he brought grapes.  He joined the Glow Run in Whitehouse this evening together with our niece.

Oh how pretty the day was.  I was sitting on the patio chair on the porch feeling the breeze on my skin and I was zoning out.  'Twas so nice to take a nap right there and then.  I couldn't take the drowsiness anymore, I went inside and lied down on the couch. I fell asleep as soon as I got settled on the couch.

A Relaxing Weekend

It is another wonderful visit to the in-laws' this weekend.  My husband get to relax and our little princess get to hang out and play with her grandparents.  We headed Friday late afternoon and I did not feel nervous driving all the way to Tyler anymore. 

It was a nice day on our way.  But it was raining overnight Friday and almost the whole day today.  We did not get the chance to go for a walk in the neighborhood this morning.  My FIL said that there is a storm system coming.  I hope it will stop raining tomorrow because we surely love to go for a walk in the morning.

Will Appreciate Her Company

Tired. That is the reason D kept on telling us.

I called my Filipina neighbor D to join us, me and N, for a swim yesterday. D said they were at the mall shopping for some "pasalubong" (gifts) to bring in the Philippines (when they go there to live for like three years). She cannot come over to N's apartment and join us swim because she was tired. I told her that she can just chill and relax on one of the pool chairs if she does not want to swim. In fact, the pool is only four minutes away from her apartment. D still refused.

Aahh! Why force a person to mingle with us if she/he does not want to? Okay I understand, but a quick company shall be appreciated if she went and met us. So, N and I went swimming at their apartment's pool and spa without D. My husband and N's joined us in the pool when they came home from work. We enjoyed it.

What Is Your Schedule This Weekend?

This is the question my honey asked me while we are having lunch today. I told him I will close the store tomorrow and Sunday. "So there is no chance for us to go somewhere tomorrow," he said. "What will I do on those days?", he asked.

Well, I told him that he can start working on his side project again. In fact, he already installed the program he needs for the job. I know what my honey wants to tell me. He wants us to travel to Oklahoma this weekend because we both know we miss going to the casino (chuckles). Maybe if I have two succeeding days off on a weekend this month, we will go to Oklahoma.

Movie Date

It is a beautiful Sunday. They said it is going to be warm the rest of the day. Good. I will not be shivering, sort of. My honey and I planned to go on a date. We will go for a movie date today. We will watch a movie, "Mall Cop". It is a comedy film about a security who is protecting the mall he is working in. The first time I saw the trailer on television I was laughing like I was tickled. The movie is hilarious so we will go see it.

When watching a film, we pick a seat not too close or too far from the screen. I want to be seated somewhere I can walk easily to the ladies room. I also bring a jacket because it is cold inside the movie house. Also, it is a preparation when the weather gets cold outside.

Tired Of Changing Channels

Whenever we eat lunch or dinner, it is our habit to watch television while enjoying the meal. My honey and I sometimes change channels because we are not satisfied with what we are getting from our current subscription. If I am trying to see what is available, it does not even giving my tv options.

We are deciding to change to direct tv viewing. The high-definition feature is what we are looking forward to right now, and we do not want to watch movies that our current subscription is playing over and over again. That sucks! I just hope DirectTV is a good choice.
