Lazy Day After The Trip

When I work so hard for long hours or being on a trip for a day or two, tiredness doesn't get to me much on the same day.  It will kick in the next day that will make me feel so lazy and tired.  And that's what I felt the other day.

We went on a trip to Oklahoma Sunday to visit and to have a family adventure in Beaver's Bend Park.  We went to the lake and had quality time just me, dear husband, and darling daughter.  It was a very pleasant day.  There was a forecast of severe thunderstorm and tornado warnings in some cities of Oklahoma but not in Broken Bow.  I thought we won't be able to stroll around the park the next day which is Monday.

It was only a two day adventure but I was tired and worn out.  My dear husband let me drive to and from.  We got back home Monday evening and we didn't do anything after dinner.  We're all tired and slept early.  Tuesday was a lazy day for me.  I did nothing but eat and watch television.

Just hanging out and feeling the cool breeze.

Sure the water was inviting.  A couple of kids were playing on the beach while the other one was swimming in the cold lake water.

Apartment For Rent

A friend of mine just flew abroad with her husband.  They are starting a new life as a newly wed so, they are renting an apartment for now.  After shopping for cheap and convenient place to live in, they finally found Calgary apartments for rent.

Falconcrest Village located in the Northeast Calgary offers as low as $863 a month with two spacious bedrooms and one bathroom.  Good price for two persons for a start.  My friend likes it there because it is close to the airport and mall.  Oh yeah, she likes shopping too.  I miss her already.

A Year After

We went to FW to visit my husband's satellite office.   His co-employees want to see baby too, so we planned the trip well. After lunch, we drove to the office and mingled for a little while.  The secretary gave K a stuffed toy.  A little puppy.  Aw, that was so sweet.  After that, we drove to the store where I worked for more than a year.  And as promised, I came over to visit with baby.  Everybody adored my little girl.

We spent did the traveling all afternoon.  On our way home, the traffic is not bad as we thought it would be on rush hours.  It was wonderful to see friends again.

Future Travel And Vacation

One of my biggest dreams is to be able to travel and visit Europe.  There are couple of countries in my list:  UK, Italy, France, Norway, Scotland...to name a few.  This idea came to me not only because I worked in travel before, it is because I want to explore.  Traveling always interests me.

The most traveled season is summer.  It is the best time to visit cooler places and summer destinations for a vacation/getaway.  I like a beach getaway.  A wonderful room accommodation adds to the enjoyment of the vacation.  To me, visiting Europe during the summer season seems quite appealing.  Besides staying in a hotel, you can also stay in a luxury apartment for rent that is furnished appliances. Whenever I travel, I always look into getting a great deal on hotel accommodations.  This matters a lot to me.

I am hoping that I can visit the above mentioned European countries someday.

Cheap Hotel Accommodation Is A Privilege

Tomorrow we will go to Oklahoma to celebrate our third wedding anniversary. It has become our tradition to drive there and play for a while. We only do this once a year you know.

I booked the hotel room seven days in advance so we will not have a last minute hassle. Surprisingly, the room rate is still the same as what it was a year ago. I am so glad! After all, we are players' club members and this is one of the privileges.

The place is only an hour away from the house. So it will not be an exhausting travel for us.

Avoid Out-Of-The-Area Travels

Hhmm...what did I do today as far as Thanksgiving preparation is concerned? Nothing. Though we are back in our house in the country, we are not hosting the Thanksgiving dinner for now.

We will go to my sister-in-law's home tomorrow for Thanksgiving. I was asked if I am still okay to travel. Now that I am in the full term of my pregnancy, my doctor asked me to avoid out-of-the-area travels for signs of labor might start at any time. But this one will be fine...I think.

A Day Of Fun And Laughter

Yesterday my cousin and I had a wonderful time with girl friends in Azle. It was one of the girls' birthday celebration. Three pregnant women were there including me. We had fun talking (catching up with one another), joking, and eating. Lots of pictures were taken and the food was good, especially the cake and some desserts. Woooh! My limitation on sweets went away (laughs).

It is about an hour and 20 minutes drive from Plano to Azle. But before we headed there, I had lunch at my cousin's place. I ate pork tocino and garlic rice. Boy, I love her garlic rice!

It was a pleasant day. The traffic was not too bad. I got home at 8:00 P.M.

Tokyo, Japan

Japan is the name which is collectively covers almost 7000 islands. The four largest islands are HonshÃ…«, HokkaidÃ…, KyÃ…«shÃ…« and Shikoku, and they account for 97% of Japan's land area. Most of the other islands are very small, mountainous and volcanic, so they are inaccessible. I was watching the channels provided by one of the satellite tv companies one night and the city of Tokyo looked so interesting that we just had to take a vacation there.
Tokyo, and its surrounding cities, has a population of about 12 million people. Check the Internet for reduced airline ticket websites, or check eBay or Craig's List because somebody might be trying to sell theirs. Why pay more? Check for hotels, and deals on those, too. The Hilton offered us discounted rates. Tokyo is like New York, in that, it has a rail system that runs everywhere, so there is no need for a vehicle.
This city has certain districts for certain things, like electronic devices, clothing, young people's clothing, beautiful Japanese gardens, and there are multiple museums scattered around the cities. Japan is also known for fish and farmer's markets set up right down the streets. These are fun, because you can get the freshest of foods, including sushi. We had the best time just walking along the streets of Tokyo experiencing their culture. I would suggest a vacation in Japan for anyone!

Few Minutes Delay In Exiting The Airport

We did our grocery shopping at noon today because we do not have anything in the fridge besides a box of half and half and a couple of drinks. We cleaned the fridge before we left for a vacation in the Philippines.

We had a very smooth and safe travel. Korean Air did a sweet touch down yesterday morning on our arrival at DFW airport. Though some checking at the immigration caused a few minutes delay in exiting the airport, we were very thankful the officers did not open our three baggage. They just scanned them and asked a few questions about what's in there.

'Still feeling the blues but we are happy to be back in Texas...my second home. As of the moment, my honey and I are working on reducing the jet lag effect.

Two Lovely Resorts In Leyte

We are back! 'Arrived DFW Airport at 9:50 yesterday morning. Now, I am feeling the blues because I am missing my family already. My husband and I know it will be fine because we really had a great time with them. We spent the whole time in two resorts in Leyte...Baybayon ni Agalon in Albuera and Sabin Resort Hotel in Ormoc City.

Since my honey's first visit to Leyte, Sabin Resort Hotel has been his favorite place to stay in Ormoc. Besides being close to my hometown (Kananga), the resort is also 5-8 minutes away from the city proper of Ormoc. We like going to town riding a tricycle. My honey calls it a trike :)

Baybayon ni Agalon is 10-15 minutes away South of Ormoc City. We heard about its beautiful location (by the shore). The resort has a beautiful landscape, quiet, and green surroundings. What makes this resort remarkable because it has a very appealing pool that children would really enjoy swimming in its cool waters (with slides and all that). Plus, Baybayon ni Agalon has two Ostriches by the entrance.

If you want to check more, visit Baybayon ni Agalon at www.baybayonniagalon.com and Sabin Resort Hotel at www.sabinresort.com. Another thing, double check the accommodation rates before placing a room reservation.

Feeling The Blues

It is hard to leave but we have to. We are leaving Leyte and will head to Cebu tomorrow. We will fly back to Texas on the 31st. The three weeks vacation in the Philippines is truly a happiness for us. Nothing compares to the good times spent with the family. We will miss everyone...surely. Not even on the plane yet, we are feeling the blues now. I know that everyone had a great time...they are happy to see us too.

As soon as we get back to work in the USA and get our pay checks, we will start saving again for the next trip :) We are looking forward to another vacation...hopefully a month long vacation.

Strolling And Shopping In China Town

Two weeks had passed and the fun is still on going. Since we arrived home, the schedule has been hectic for days. The first week of our vacation was spent visiting relatives and friends in Manila. There were lots of activity in the middle of the unpredictable weather.

We went to Binondo (China Town in the heart of Manila). My honey loved shopping in the area. Despite of power failure on the other side of the street, still, we strolled store to store along Ongpin Street :) We bought a couple of Chinese calendar and a lucky bracelet for me.

Then we rode a jeepney on our way back to the hotel. My honey enjoyed it. Me too. It's what I missed. The busy roads and people...also the vehicle honks :)

My Favorite Coffee And Some Travel Tips

My friend N got back from the Philippines. She granted my request to bring me a pack of 3-in-1 instant coffee. I am so happy because that is my favorite coffee.

N had a two-week vacation in the Philippines. She said two weeks is just a short time because some of her travel plans were canceled. Instead of catching up those plans on the early days of her vacation, she just went home to her province and spent most of the days with her family. She really had a wonderful time, I saw it on the pictures she took.

What made N really disappointed was, the prices of the necessities back home went up really high...almost doubled. She told me that she watched her budget. N advised me to be very wise with our spending when we go for a vacation to the Philippines so we will not caught out of hand. Gee, even airlines' excess baggage check charges had geared up. Now my honey have to watch for our luggage's weights.

I appreciate N so much for giving us some tips and bringing me a pack of my favorite coffee :) Welcome back N!

Know The Scent They Like

I was very glad that we came and visit my in-laws in Tyler. Also, I was able to give a birthday gift to my sister-in-law...though it was late. Better late than never.

The day was beautiful so me and my mother-in-law went downtown and bought the Pretty perfume that I had in mind for a present. Good thing my sister-in-law loves fragrances, so looking for the scent was quick.

Perfumes are the perfect gift to love ones too. If you want to give someone a fragrance, you should know the scent they like so they will not be disappointed with it.

Enjoy The Summer, Go Somewhere

Do not let summer pass without you having a wonderful vacation. You can visit the beautiful summer vacation spots locally or out of state either. One of the enchanting getaway destination is the Myrtle Beach Resort in South Carolina. If you are a beach bum, you will definitely find this place a getaway for you and your family. Worried about accommodations? The Oceanfront Hotel Myrtle Beach offers affordable room rates. The location is desirable because it is the ocean front Resort in Myrtle Beach. Sounds appealing right?

My friend who resides close to the resort sent me an invitation to come over there. We already had travel plans before the invitation arrived. But I am looking forward to visiting her some time in summer next year.

Out-Of-Town Trips Are Always Great

A visit to my my parents-in-law has always been great ever since I came and meet them. My husband has a wonderful and beautiful family. They treat me nice and I love them.

We went to Tyler again this weekend. We used the new car and I drove all the way over there in the evening after I get off from work. It was a smooth and comfortable drive. My honey called his dad to tell him we will be arriving at about 1:00 A.M. When we arrived, dad and prissy (their dog) were waiting for us at the door.

As usual, mom prepared a delicious breakfast while dad made the good coffee. Then mom and I went to the mall because I had to buy a present for S, my honey's sister. She had her birthday last month but we did not come for the celebration because I had to work the weekend of her special day. Mom told me she likes fragrances, so I bought her a new scent from Elizabeth Arden called "Pretty". Mom said S and family is coming over for supper. I gave her the gift and she liked it!

We enjoyed the spaghetti, garlic bread, and salad that mom prepared. We watched the fishing video after supper because S have not seen it yet. She likes fishing so much. Sure time passes by when you are having fun. It was almost the sleeping time for kids so S and family went home. Mom, dad, my honey and I hung out in the living room for a while. Then when we got really sleepy, lights turned off and we went to bed.

They Are Coming Over And 'Could Not Think Of What To Cook

My cousin E is coming over to see us tomorrow. Their plan of driving to Fort Worth is because her husband T is buying something that the retailer can only be found here. After buying what they want, they are going to Fort Worth Zoo. My honey and I were there last month. I guess we have to let my cousin E and T enjoy their visit at the Zoo and the beautiful animals. She learned that Fort Worth Zoo is named one of the Top Zoo in America, again. And that is true.

Anyway, I could not think of something to cook for the couple tomorrow. Oh oh! My honey baked a chicken this evening. Maybe we can have some chicken sandwich and salad for lunch. Hhhmm...I do not know if they will like that. Well if new things come up, we might just have to eat in a restaurant somewhere.

Weekend Snapshot: Roses And Trees

Here is a picture from a weekend trip to the Rose Garden in Tyler, Texas. The place was so beautiful and the weather was so perfect. 'Had a wonderful time with my honey and his parents. Of course in times like this, the day ain't complete without picture taking, video recording, and fine dining.
