Shopping For A Sport Utility Van (SUV)

Hello everyone! It is March already. How's your weekend been? Mine? I had a great weekend.  My family and I went to the Subaru dealer in McKinney to check a Subaru Forester we saw on their website on Friday. Unfortunately, it was not there anymore Saturday.  It has been sold already. :( Oh well.  We just have to wait for the right time and the right price for us to get a new vehicle.

Our sedan needs to be replaced by an SUV soon. So we are looking for the perfect SUV for the family.  We love traveling and we bring lots of stuff with us whenever we go on vacation. So an SUV would be awesome and we are eyeing for a Subaru SUV right now.

Got Good Deals On Fall Decor

Fall Blessings decor and game day cups

Window shopping is one of my hobbies.  Whenever I go to a store, I just kinda browse the departments.  If there's a good deal and if prices are tremendously reasonable on the items I need, I consider buying them without remorse. :)  I only paid only $.70 the Blessings owl on pumpkin decor and the fall game day cups at Dollar General.

The owl on pumpkin decor will look great on our front door in the Fall. :)

Arts And Green Experience At Northpark Center In Dallas

Northpark Center-Dallas

We went to Northpark Center in Dallas last week after DD's field trip.  We had a lot of time to spare so decided to do some sightseeing inside the mall. It was our very first time there. We were so amazed of the art structures and real plants in the lobbies.

"It was an awesome new mall experience,"she said.

I loved the flowers and the little duck pond in front of Neiman Marcus store.

Pineapple Juice and Skittles

Pineapple juice and Skittles
I enjoy couponing.  I save money on the products I need.  Sometimes I shop and get good deals on items like apparel, shoes, home goods, and accessories.  Most of these items are gifts for my family and friends in the Philippines.

What's amazing is that, I get/receive coupons and I use them to pay for food or drinks that I like.

Hair Styling Enhancement With Lace Front Wigs

This is a sponsored post. All opinions are mine.

It is almost end of the school year, and it is graduation and recognition time.  Many of us are very busy during this last period of the the school year. Parents of graduating students are getting ready for the special day.  We all want to look nice and presentable.

One of the places we go for pampering and beauty enhancements is the salon for hair care and up-dos. I enjoy going to the salon once in a while. But if you only want to make your hair look nice with great volume, I would suggest to just get a hair wig.  If you want to keep the current look and style of your hair, a sensationnel lace front wig would be a great accessory for your locks. Without worrying of fading or sagging, this wig can be of use for many occasions in your life.

Divatress.com
For thin and frizzy hair like mine, a lace front wig can be a tool to make my hair look amazing.  I can always choose what color or volume of wig I like the most. Hair styling can be very tedious sometimes. But with a wig, hair styling is a charm.

Congratulations to all the graduates! And congratulations, parents.

It's Not Too Late To Learn How To Play A Guitar

Have you ever been frustrated in your life? How did you conquer your frustrations? Did you ever challenge yourself to overcome that frustration?

My frustration was not able to learn any musical instrument when I was a little kid.  I envied some of my friends and most of cousins who knew how to play a guitar and/or a piano.  I liked to sing and I think I sing good. But I wanted to learn at least one musical instrument.  My favorite was the guitar.  My dad was a good guitar player. There was some points in time during my childhood that he wasn't able to teach me because he was working by shift at a factory before.  On his day off, he was very tired and he took naps a lot.  I was very active with playing outdoors that learning skills in music didn't even come to my mind back then.

Anyhow, I think it's not even too late.  I am still interested in learning how to play a guitar.  I need a very nice guitar to practice with.  Then if I get better at it, it would be a great time to buy a high quality guitar at  guitar center charleston sc distributor.  Lots of selection of well-made guitars for music enthusiasts.  Even a great quality piece to add in your music instruments collection.

Even though I am quite old now, I will never stop yearning to learn to play this amazing music instrument.  The ability to do so can be passed on to my child.

Couponing: Household and Hair Care Products

One of the things I have fun doing is shopping for great bargains especially if they are needed in my household.  I also use coupons in order to cut the cost I am paying at the register.  I have been shopping using coupons (or couponing) for two years now and I can say that I am having fun.  Besides, I can get the products in a very low price or even for free.  My favorite store is CVS.  Aside from the coupons I receive from the manufacturing companies, CVS also gives out coupons to customers who are members of their rewards program.  Every now and then CVS gives you a percentage off your purchases in the mail.
I only grab the products for my household needs.  Like detergents, paper towels, bathroom tissue, shampoos, toothpaste, and toothbrush.  Today I bought 3 tide liquid detergent and 4 Pantene products. P & G has a promotion this week at CVS that if you buy $30 worth of P & G products, you will receive $10 Extra Bucks or (it is like a cash back but in the form of a store credit/coupon).

I had a $10.50 Extra Bucks from my previous transactions which is last week.  So I used it to purchase Tide and Pantene products.  Also, I got P & G brand coupons in the Sunday paper and CVS gave me coupons from the Red Box - a CVS rewards card reader machine.

The grand total of this transaction was $32. 81.  After deducting all the manufacturers' coupons and CVS coupons, the total came down to $16.83 including tax.  I used the $10.50 Extra Bucks and out-of-pocket of $6.83 to pay.  I got $10 Extra Bucks back.  Not bad for 7 products.

If you want to get coupons from your favorite P & G products, sign up here for free.

Pure Ice Nail Polish Deja Vu
I love my nail polish this Holiday season. It looks cool yet festive to me.  I have always adore royal blue color.  This Pure Ice nail polish Deja Vu is in royal blue with shimmering glitters and a little bit of purple in it.  So nice.  My fingernails are looking sexy, I think.  Haha!

Dim Lighting For The Bedrooms

Tiffany lamp.
I bought this Tiffany multi-colored floral table lamp from an online garage sale last year for $12.  It is 12 inches high and the shade is 6 1/2 wide.  The metal base is quite heavy and the shade is very solid. It looks really neat in my guestroom for dim lighting. 'Looks cute, too.

If you want dim lighting in your bedrooms, you might want to consider buying a Tiffany lamp.

Stylish Sandals Women's Footwear

If you are like me who looks for bargains on clothing, handbag, and shoes, I bet shopping is not even stressful for you.  It's a stress reliever for me, don't you agree? :D  As long as we don't spend more than our budget, that's okay.  Shopping doesn't happen all the time on my end.  I only buy things that I really need.

But...whenever I see something in the store that is hugely discounted and I really really like it for myself, for my home, or for someone, I will buy it.  I like shopping for footwear. Sandals are my favorite. If you're shopping for stylish sandals, you might want to check out ZALORA.  They have a wide selection of sandals that are cute and cheap.
Zalora.com.ph
Sandals are great for every day wear.  They are easy to go along with casual clothes especially if you are always on the go.  Most us women own at least a pair of sandals.  Wearing them is a privilege of being a woman.  We always look for new styles every time.  So these type of stylish women's footwear never go out of style.  And finding a pair that suits our preferences and it's on sale is like winning big from a scratch card.

Comfortable Footwear At Home

My pair of Nike Comfort Thong Sandals
I love lazy Sundays.  I just like to be in my lounge wear and I also love wearing my Nike Slip-ons with memory foam and comfort footbed.  They're very comfortable and my feet feels relaxed.  I am on my feet most of the time because I play with my child and do household chores, too.  My feet feels cold easily especially when I am on barefoot.  That is why I always wear house slippers.

I bought this pair for $12 from Kohls I think two years ago.  I think the retail price now ranges from $24-$30 a pair.

Weekend Snapshots: Japanese Tea Ceremony, Bath Accessories, Hair Care

In their Kimono.
A severe thunderstorm occurred early this morning and heavy downpours lasted for about an hour.  The rain was on and off when daylight came and I thought it will be raining all day today.  I was glad that the rain stopped and I was able to attend the presentation about Japanese Tea Ceremony at the library this afternoon.  I say it's an interesting lesson about how tea has become popular in Japan over a thousand years ago and how it is still celebrated nowadays.

After the that, I drove to Sachse to pick up the garage sale items I bought for $5.  These are bathroom accessories with Palm Tree design.  These really match my bath rugs in the master's bathroom.

Image taken by the seller.
After the pick up, I thought of stopping at CVS store to use my nearly expired coupons.  I got these L'oreal shampoos for $1.00.  I did two transactions and I used two CVS rewards card.  Select L'oreal hair care is on sale at CVS last week.

Prices:  $4.99 each with card or buy two or more for $4.50 each and get 4.00 Extra Bucks (EB) back.
So, $4.50x 2 = $9.00
I used one 4.00 EB rec'd from previous purchases and one Manufacturer's Coupon of $4.00 off 2 L'oreal Advanced hair care products. So I paid only $1.00 and received another 4.00 EB.

Then another $4.50 x 2 = $9.00
I used one 5.00 EB rec'd from previous purchases and two Manufacturer's Coupon of $2.00 off 2 L'oreal Advanced hair care products.  So these offset the cost and paid nothing. I received a 4.00 EB in this transaction.

Shampoos
These items are addition to the stuff I am shipping to my family back home in the Philippines.

Saving Money On Oral Care

Colgate toothpaste
Colgate is one of my favorite toothpaste brands.  I feel so delighted whenever I get a very good deal on oral care including toothpaste.  The few weeks ago, I went to CVS to check on some of their weekly deals.   It has been a while since the last time I shop there.  I was glad to see a great deal on Colgate toothpaste.

I got two store coupons of $2.50 off toothpaste purchase from my Rewards Coupon Center. I still had the $1.00 Extra Bucks from a previous transaction several weeks ago. Then a $1 off Colgate toothpaste coupon.  The price of the toothpaste was $3.99 each with the Rewards Card.  I used all the coupons but I did two transactions* on this.  So I paid $.98 for both toothpaste plus tax.

*Two Rewards Card are used on this purchase.

5 Ways to Winterize Your UTV

Winter can be tough on your UTV. Even with modifications and cold-weather equipment, you still have to contend with snow, sleet, ice and freezing temperatures that can sneak into your engine and steal your power.

The good news is that there are certain precautions you can take to lessen winter's deadly grip on your UTV. They may not be foolproof, but they'll block the worst of the elements and keep you running no matter how many polar vortexes come your way. Here are just five tips for winterizing your side-by-side.

1. Check Your Fluids

Make it a point of checking your fluids before you head out. If they're too frozen or chunky to be operational, you'll need to warm up your UTV before you can take it anywhere. This is also something that should be done gradually and not all at once.

2. Be Careful With Your Antifreeze

In the same vein as the above, remember that winter comes with different rules for antifreeze. More specifically, you shouldn't be topping it off with water anymore. That can induce swelling in cold temperatures.

3. Throw Out Your Old Fuel

If you haven't ridden your UTV in awhile, you shouldn't take it out with the same old gas that's been sitting in it for months. Your engine can get so gummed up with bad fuel that it stalls in the middle of the wilderness, and what will you do then?

4. Buy Cold Weather Parts

Look for UTV parts that are made for snowy banks and icy terrain. For example, you might buy track systems to get through the slush or skid plates to protect your vehicle from chunks of frozen ice and dirt. You should also look into things like windshields and cab enclosures to keep the frost out of your face.

5. Check Your Tire Pressure

If your UTV goes from cold to hot to cold again, your tires can start swelling and deflating in time with the temperature. This will result in a loss of tire pressure that might require you to purchase completely new wheels.

When the temperature starts dropping, these tips can be the difference between a dead UTV and one that powers through the snow no matter how thickly it falls. If you're serious about staying on the road despite bad weather, follow these guidelines for winterizing your side-by-side.

My Favorite Cosmetic Pieces

How I admire women who look beautiful especially when they have make-up on. Whenever I look into a magazine and see models, celebrities, and movie stars who are looking gorgeous in their make-up, I tell myself can I do my make-up like that? Of course they have professional make-up artists who are always there for them to make them look wonderful.  And they're not cheap.

I like cosmetics even though I don't know how to apply makeup.  My favorite pieces are lip colors, pressed powders, blushes, and mascaras.
Lipstick

I like buying cosmetics at convenient stores like CVS.  Sometimes I get them almost free using manufacturer coupons and store coupons.  And if CVS offers cash backs, sometimes I get the beauty products almost free.

Smells like Christmas In Our House Right Now

From my shopping the other day, I bought two packs of air fresheners.  I saw on the CVS ad that the Airwick air freshener refills were on sale.  And with my extra 25% Off I received thru email, I got them almost free because the store gave me back some Extra Bucks - equivalent to or like a store credit.

The scent of the Airwick air  freshener is Apple Cinnamon, which reminds me of the Holiday season.  When my husband came home from work this evening, he smelled it and said "Sure smells good in here."  :)

Comfort In The Perfect Footwear

I love it when I have time for myself - to travel, unwind, and to shop.  Me time is very important to me. I thank my husband and appreciate his understanding and thoughtfulness on stuff like that.  It makes me feel very secure with our relationship.

As I was saying, I love leisure time.  Traveling and shopping are good combination to me. :)   I like going to the parks and botanical gardens.  I enjoy looking around and these places are relaxing.  Feeling the cool breeze makes you feel good inside.

When going out on a hot summer day, cool and comfortable clothes are recommended to wear.  Light colored clothing is best.  Summer dresses, cotton shirts and pants are great example of these clothing.  Of course, the outfit won't be complete without the perfect footwear.  I prefer wearing flat comfortable shoes made with high quality leather or fabric because they make walking easy and comfortable.

www.zalora.com.ph
And every time my family and I go out of town, or even just going out to run errands, I wear my flat shoes because I couldn't stand walking on heels for a long time.  I recommend wearing comfort flat shoes because they won't strain your feet while you're out and about like me.
