A dear friend of mine gave each of us in our friend circle this handmade winter headband.  She made this herself. Yes, she's a very talented when it comes to handmade crafts. Her crochet skills are remarkable.

I like winter but chilly weather makes feel uncomfortable especially when it is windy.  The wind chills get me that I don't want to do errands.  This handmade winter headband is very useful because it covers my ears. I don't like wearing heavy puffy winter coats so this cold weather headband is a must-have for me.

Compact Pocket Trumpet

When I was in high school, I tried to join the school band. I found it interesting to play musical instruments and become a part of the school's special events. Whenever there are parades and special occasions, my school's band joins and performs.  Then band playing is awesome to hear and watch.  

But I didn't get the chance to audition to join the school band because I didn't have an instrument.  I have been wanting to play the trumpet, though. I couldn't find someone who owned one that I could rent. Trumpets are great musical instrument. It's sound is fun and lively.

Well, it's back to school again.  Did you have a great summer vacation?  We did.  As you know, my family and I love vacations. :) When we got back from our getaway - we went to Arkansas and Oklahoma, the first thing my husband and I did was register our darling K in Kindergarten.  Then he let me buy the school supplies and school clothes two weeks before the school started in August.  After getting our family portraits done this morning, we went to El Rodeo for a big yummy lunch.  My dear husband and I always agree on getting Fajitas.  They have meat combinations which you can choose either Chicken and Beef or Shrimp and Beef.  Darling daughter ordered Taco Salad.  We were feeling terrible after eating because we're so full. :)

While relaxing and getting the food digested, I start replacing the worn out battery on my Dell netbook.  It's six years old.  No wonder it won't charge anymore.  I found a Dell netbook battery replacement on Amazon for around $11.00.  I hope this one will last six years also.

Experience With Target's Ship To Store - Not Good

If you are shopping online for a product that you really really like, you cannot wait to receive the product right?  And because the store offers free shipping to store, that's a very big plus right?  Who doesn't like free shipping?

I order items online ahead of time because I know that sometimes you cannot trust the items to be delivered and/or ready for pick up five or 7 days after the items' have shipped.  But I think this one is quite unacceptable.  As you can see, I ordered two items from a store.  Both of them are swimwear and to be shipped to the same store I selected.  One swimwear arrived at the store in six days after the order was placed.

The second swimwear is still in transit as of today, yet the estimated delivery to store is 14 March 2016.  Today is the 19th.  How come?  I called the store to double check with them.  They told me the same thing, the item is still in transit.  To some these items are not quite important.  But I am going on a vacation with my loved ones and I ordered these pieces for them expecting that they will arrive within a week or so.  What's disappointing is, it's been two weeks and one of the swimwear is still pending.  I ordered both VERY ahead of time.

There's A Place For My Laptop And Stuff Now

As you know, I work at home for more than five years now.  I have been doing buy and sell online a year after I got here in the US.  My husband and I moved (the week I arrived) and lived in an apartment for about two years.  But the tight situation didn't stop me from doing what I enjoy.  Earning extra money online is a big help to us.  One of the things I was wishing for since then was a portable mobile laptop desk that I can use even when I am in our bedroom.  We have a computer table but my husband's computer and other electronics were stationed there.  So I didn't have a place for my laptop and stuff.  I had to crowd my husband's computer table.

Wall Art For My Living Room

Now I am starting to buy some good stuff for the house.  I mean, for home decor.  My cousin and a friend introduced me to this online garage sale on Facebook.  In this group, members post their unwanted items such as home decor, household stuff (kitchen electrics, chinaware, flatware, utensils, and even appliances), accessories, furniture and fixtures, and clothing (men, women, babies, and big kids) selling for lesser value.  And if you try bargaining really low, you're lucky to get the item if the seller agrees to the the price you want it for.  I haven't been to actual garage sales since I got pregnant.  So I missed great bargains on quality stuff.  :)  But in this online garage sale, it's like going to one in the comfort of my own home.

I already bought four wall art panels for my living room.  They're made out of shells.  I liked them because there's the oriental look on them.  They are still looking excellent and pretty.  Dear husband is going to hang them on the wall this weekend.  ;)

Getting Ready For Fall

Being a stay-at-home mom requires lots of patience.  My daughter is getting more and more active each day.  And the time for chores, to me, is getting shorter.  But when I have free time, I get to use it to do some quick tidying up like organizing my closet because I want to put in my Fall clothing collection including this new little black dress I got.  This is a cute dress that fits really well on me.  And it is my kind of style.  I like wearing dark colors in the Fall and Winter.

Lucky Getting The Car

I remember three years ago when we were shopping for a car.  We went to several car dealers in the Metro.  My honey and I visited the nearby cities to check what's in store.  My FIL helped with the car shopping too. It is very helpful to have someone knowledgeable in looking or shopping for used cars - checking the mileage, history, and of course the pricing.  Because every car we were interested at were nice, one of the factors that can help us figure out which one to buy is to read reviews.
