He Does The Cooking

It's our wedding anniversary today.  My honey and I are happily and harmoniously married for five years.  I am very thankful that he has been very understanding.  Since the birth of our darling daughter, my attention has been focused more on her.  That leads to lack of time with cooking, doing the house chores, and anything else.  But with my honey's help and understanding, we are able to cooperate.  He does the cooking oftentimes.  That's why I love him more and more each day.

Father's Day Gift For Honey

It was Friday when I got the chance to buy gifts for my husband for Father's Day.  I had to look for nice things for him since he needed new items for work.  My daughter and I went to the mall Thursday to find a few Father's Day gift items.  But time did not allow us to look around because it was late in the afternoon.  So we just went to a department store the next day.  Gladly I found three nice things for him.

On The Spot: Love My Mug

Valentine's Day and my honey's treat for me is a lovely tall hearts mug and a Whitman's Chocolate Sampler in a heart box.  They were waiting on the table this morning.  I gave him lots of kisses, Hershey's Kisses. :)

Tall And Sweet

I woke up late today. We did not sleep much last night because my baby woke up in the middle of the night wanting to eat. I am the one who always wakes up whenever my daughter squirms.

Like the previous Valentine's Day, my honey surprised me with chocolates. This time instead of flowers, he gave me this cute tall mug. Me and my baby has Valentine's cards too. As always, he makes my heart melt with his love notes.

One of the things I really love the most is when somebody gives me flowers, especially when it comes from a very loving person. My honey never forgets to show me his love and affection even in little simple ways. And he knows I love roses.

Weekend Snapshot: Hubby's Birthday Treat

Though it's a very busy weekend, I did not forget to greet my honey today. It is his birthday and honestly I don't have time to prepare because of this moving thing. He is on his way to Fort Worth at this moment to pick up the rest of the furniture. And no kidding, he will be very tired when he gets home later.

But I hope these presents will relax him a little bit.

"How's My Girls?"

My heart is filled with love whenever my honey comes home from work and greets, "How's my girls?" It feels wonderful. Sweet, yah?

By the way, he said girls right? Now I share with you the happy news. That means we are expecting a baby girl in December. And she is active. I feel her moving now.

He's Driving Me 'Nuts'

My honey bought me a birthday gift a couple of days ago. But until now, I still have not opened it. Why? He said I cannot open it until Friday (my birthday). Torture right? It is driving me nuts! I am excited to see what is in the little box.

When You Realize The Importance Of Love...And More

My honey just came back from a business travel in New Jersey. For five days, I was home alone when he was away. This was the first time we're apart since I arrived here. But for a good reason, he had to take the trip.

Missing my honey during those days, I realized the importance of the love I have for him because he is my husband. Big and small things he does everyday mean so much to me.

Today's Humor: Good Treatment

Bob went over to his friend Joe's house and was amazed at how well Joe treated his wife. He often told her how attractive she was, complimented her on her cooking and showered her with hugs and kisses.

"Gee," Bob remarked later, "you really make a big fuss over your wife".

"I started to appreciate her more about six months ago," Joe said. "It has revived our marriage and we couldn't be happier."

Inspired, Bob hurried home, hugged his wife and told her how much he loved her and said he wanted to hear all about her day. But she burst into tears. "Honey," Bob said, "whats' the matter?".

"This has been the worst day," she replied. "This morning Billy fell off his bike and broke his ankle, then the washing machine broke. Now to top it off, you come home drunk !".

A Birthday Gift From His Favorite Gift Wrapper

A gift to my honey's birthday. Wrapped in a multicolored gift wrapping paper is a Roundtree and York knit shirt. He loves shirts with collars but he is picky when it comes to the fabric. This one is made from organic cotton. Though he does not like the sound of it, he likes the shirt :)

I chose to wrap the gift in a multicolored paper because it looks pretty and cute. I wanted him to smile when gets his present. And he did. He loves it, of course. I am his favorite gift wrapper :)

Dinner Date On Father's Day

Last night, my honey and I went to Grapevine. We had a dinner date on Father's Day. It has been weeks since the last time we had a romantic dinner date.

We went to a Mexican restaurant in Grapevine. At first we did not know where to go until we agreed to dine at Cozymel's Restaurant. The location was confusing to us so we searched for the direction in local yellopages online. We found the exact location quickly because of the easy and quick zoom map in the page. Getting directions of local restaurants online really helps. Using local search service on the Internet saves time too.

Caught In Stress And Mood Swings

All a sudden I had the mood swings. I had this weird feeling of energy crash. This Sunday's work at the department store was hectic because I was all by myself in my department. I had to do the tasks faster to get caught up. I was so hyper at work, and I did not realize how tired I was until last night. My strength was loosing out. Stress led me to have the mood swings. My honey picked me up and told him I want to go to a different store (because I want to look for an affordable wallet). He said something which made me feel a little bit upset...really. Plus I was exhausted. I know we both were. But he still took me to that store. My mood was already rumbling. I did not find the wallet I want so we went home. Silence filled the truck.

Home. I was sleepy...weak...stressed...tired...upset. Bed time. I was emotional. My honey was worried...he handed me a stress relieving lotion and said, "Honey, your hormones are in a whack. I love you honey." In his comforting embrace, I cried my heart out.

Beautiful In His Eyes

Love can be expressed in many ways. Valentine's Day has been full of surprises for me. My honey prepared a simple dinner at home. Then he gave me these pretty, lovely pink roses with matching chocolate hearts and big HUGS and KISSES. Every time he gives me flowers with or without occasion, he always says "for my beautiful wife". 'Very sweet, yah? I believe his sincerity because he is the wonderful guy I have ever met and I am proud to be his wife.
