While most people are intent on doing their Christmas Shopping on Black Friday, I always spend the day shopping for expensive items like computers or television sets and whatnot because that's the only way you can save real money. I mean if you're saving 70% or whatever on an item that costs under $20, it's just not worth staying up all night lining up in front of a store in the freezing cold. That's like making $14 over 10 hours or something like that. If I'm going to go through the hassle of taking a day off from work and setting up camp, it better be for a major purchase that saves me tons and tons of money. Since I leave my home unattended all night long, I also have to make sure to set my home security alarm from Securitychoice.com/ before I go out to shop.

So anytime I have to make a major purchase, I hold out till Black Friday rolls around. Sometimes it takes some researching to find specific items that I'm looking for. Basically, there is a reason why these items are on clearance. This year I'm probably going to be looking for a microwave as my current one appears to be on the fritz.

What I Do In The Fall

Some people like spring, while others prefer winter. I, however, tend to tilt my heart towards the fall. With so many pretty leaves changing color, along with the cooler temperatures, how can I resist?

When this season comes around, I always seem to want to go to places like cider mills. There is just something about the atmosphere that gets to me. It's like I've stepped back into another, simpler time when I visit one. Sure, there are people dressed in modern clothes, talking on cell phones as they buy their cider, but my point still stands.

I never go alone. What would the fun be in that? Usually, I talk a family member into going, after getting ready and setting the home security alarm from http://www.Besthomesecurity.com. Beware Of Those Harmful Bites

When on a vacation and doing outdoor activities, safety is the first concern. And when traveling far, we do not want to be in harm. You see there are many harmful elements around us. If we do not take extra precautions, we might get sick. Example of these are mosquito bites. Summer is very hot. And during this hot season, mosquitoes come out and do not hesitate biting.

One of my friends back home had "dengue" ( sickness caused by a mosquito bite). She was bit by a mosquito when we had our school camping in high school. Luckily, she was treated immediately and survived. Now, the schools back home require mosquito traps everywhere. School officials and parents ensure students health and safety at all times.

On vacation, camping or outdoor happenings, our safety should always be the first priority. Beware of mosquitoes. Do not let them touch you. Trap them.

Off To SeaWorld

Our trip to San Antonio to visit SeaWorld started last night. We arrived Best Western hotel past two o'clock in the morning. That was a very smooth drive from Fort Worth (which took as just 4.5 hours of driving). Pretty amazing. We only had three stops at rest areas.

Traveling at night makes you feel bored because of the darkness around you. But you should keep your focus on the road if you want to arrive to your destination safely.

This is my first summer getaway here in the USA. I am very happy that I will experience the fun at SeaWorld. One of my dream vacation destinations. Thank God we had a safe travel last night.

Tornado Warning Last Night

It was stormy last night. Thunder and lightning was scary. Winds blew 80 miles per hour. The tornado warning siren was turned on all over town. I was worried we might get hail. Thank God we did not get any. I called my neighbor N, cousin E, and my friends at the store. N thought it was just an ordinary rain. She planned to bath under the rain. I told her it was storming! She looked out her window and saw huge, strong lightning flashes. So she just stayed at home and watched the weather news. Our Internet connection was off because of the bad weather condition.

Be Sure Your Elders Are Secured

It is good to know that my mother convinced her father not to live in his house at the farm but to stay with the family instead. He has no decent home there...no more. What scares us is that, there is nobody who can look after him if something happened like if his hypertension attacks? That is going to be difficult for him to ask for help. His house does not have any life alert device installed.

My grandfather agreed to stay with my family back home now. My parents can attend to him and help him on emergency. If emergency happens, life alert detectors are just close by. It would be very convenient for my grandfather to visit his brother and sister who lives in the neighborhood. I can tell that my grandpa is happy to be with the family especially with his grand kids.

Minor But Traumatic Pain

I was busy sorting mails this evening. But something happened. I was cut on the right index finger. Who is the suspect? This envelope. Yes. I was opening it with the use of a pen when suddenly the edge cut the skin near my nail. Sarcastically you might ask, "Who's fault is that?" It is not proper to open an envelope that way but I am used to it. Silly me, huh? The pain is bearable but when my honey poured some alcohol on the cut, I blew air to it hastily to ease the pain. Is not it traumatic? This is a lesson, so be careful friends.
