Use The Best Sunscreen

Summer is fun. We think of having picnics, go to camping, bright shorty shorts, colorful flip flops, bikinis, the beach, and the sun. And we enjoy doing stuff outdoors. We feel alive and always excited as we go along with our daily runs.

Though we like the bright sun this time of the year, we cannot avoid to be exposed to Ultraviolet lights of the sun. UVA lights from the sun can damage the skin that causes premature aging, sunburn, and even the risk of skin cancer. Thus, using the best sun protection products like sunscreens reduces the possibility of the mentioned risks. Anytime you step outside, your skin will need SPF 15 — and even higher if you’ll be in the sun. These formulas are gentle and nongreasy and block both UVA and UVB rays. You should get the Neutrogena Ultra Sheer Dry-Touch Sunblock SPF 85, $10Sweatproof and water-resistant, the powder-based lotion won’t leave skin shiny, and its SPF is unbeatable. This is best for the whole family.
In addition, here are some tips that might help to reduce skin damage and skin cancer.
  1. Minimize sun exposure at midday and between the hours of 10:00AM and 3:00PM. - I heard about this from the expert. Since the sun's heat is at its peak during these times, over sun exposure is not advisable.
  2. Use lip balm with SPF 15 or higher every day of the year to protect your lips. - It will also help moisturize your lips.
  3. Do not be fooled by clouds. - Even if it is cloudy between the hours mentioned above, ultraviolet rays still penetrate the clouds.
  4. Reapply sunscreen every two hours as possible. - Some sunscreens states to be waterproof, they will be wiped off on a towel or even sweat.

We should always remember that prevention is better than cure.

Extra Charges When You Fly

It is so surprising that an airline will impose new charges on air travel. I read in the news says that there will be no free drinks the next time you fly. What???

"Better get used to carrying lots of singles. US Airways is now terminating free drink service. No, not free mini bottles of Jim Beam and cheap Chardonnay, we're talking about all drinks, including soda, fruit juice, coffee, and bottled water, which will soon cost $2 each. Presumably tap water, which may or may not be contaminated with fecal coliform bacteria, will still be free. The move is the latest way airlines are attempting to fight rapidly rising fuel prices in a disastrous economic climate. In recent months, the extra fees have come fast and furious. First came extra charges for your second piece of luggage, then came a charge for your first bag. That's not to mention extra fees for choosing your own seat, curbside check-in, booking using frequent flier miles, and the cost of the Santa Fe chicken sandwich." Read more...

I think it is getting ridiculous and unreasonable.

Lovely Red Rose For Me

Whenever somebody gives me a flower, happiness fills my heart. I feel I am cherished. My husband does give me flowers and he knows roses are my favorite. Or else I will be jokingly singing, "You don't bring me flowers anymore..." (Smiles).

Just A Quick But Useful Thought

Eversince I was a kid I am so fond of electronics technology. I wanted to enjoy using computers, play station, i-pods, walkmans, and others...like my cousins do. Mobile phones are one of my favorites too. I always want to know new innovations beyond the wired world. So far, I am doing good and still learning. It is fun!
However, there are people who are spending most of their time on these gadgets. For example: playing play station almost the whole day, texting non-sense, and other unsignificant things. I think these people must make their time worthwhile. They should appreciate the people around them and appreciate new alternative hobbies other than straining fingers on these things. Sometimes it affects the attitude too.
I know this is our chance to enjoy technology's offer to a curious individual like me but we should know our limitations. It doesn't cost anything to practice good ethics.

Top Laptop Picks

A laptop computer is a convenient portable computer that has achieved wide popularity with people who travel a lot, study in coffee shops, and particularly for those who enjoy the space saving design. Laptop computers have come a long way with optional features like camera for video chatting, wi-fi technology capability, Bluetooth reader, or a huge space saving.

I am a computer user for years. From the computer varieties I have used before, I find Dell more reliable and efficient. Dell has great offers on laptops today. They come in high-definition widescreens, colors that fits individual personality, and affordable deals that makes it the popular pick.

A quick tip: When buying a laptop computer, think about the best size and weight for your portability needs.

Free Paper

It's Saturday. As usual, Steve and I drove out of town for a weekend visit to our house for sale in Nevada. We stopped by at Denny's for breakfast. I saw a free reading material and I decided to get one since it's about one and a half hour drive to the house. I don't want to get bored and sleepy inside the Chevrolet Silverado truck. Besides, eating a heavy breakfast makes us sleepy.
Anyways, the free paper I got is called the Coffee News. I found out that this single-sheet reading material is the large publication worldwide. Distributions are done every week here in Forth Worth. It contains news articles, upcoming events (in the city), and ads that are printed in a 11x17 sheet of paper (front and back), and it has new editions weekly. In fact, it has horoscope and humor section too!
I looked up in the horoscope section and here's the read:
Libra - "You really put your heart and efforts into helping others now. A generous spirit is brougth forth in you, nurturing to your close relationships." (for Steve)
Aquarius - "This is a very good time to go to the theater or social gathering. You will want to see beautiful things and exchange pleasantries with others." (for me)
Well, Steve's horoscope is kind of right somehow. He has been busy with work this week and comes home late. Mine? Amazing! I am invited and decided to go to a Pool Party in the afternoon.
