Gifts From Brazil

I received a surprise in the mail. It's the package from a friend in Brazil, Sissym of Blogzoom and Masquerade. She was telling me about it before I gave birth.

Sissym and I met online thru blogging. She is from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. We got comfortable sharing experiences in our daily lives. She is down-to-earth and has a strong personality. It is very sweet of her to send a gift for my baby and me.

It is difficult to find a good friendship. But I believe, that you found one, it does not matter wherever she or he may be in the world. As long as the communication is constant and the friendship is true, you will treasure each other.

To Sissym, thank you so much for the lovely gifts.

Save Money On Printer Ink

Since we moved, few loose things hasn't been organized yet. Some of them are still in the garage. But we found a place for my honey's office equipment, the computer and printer. Though it is a temporary location by the master's bedroom, it is better than being in the garage.

We needed to get the computer set up immediately because both of us work at home part time. I do data entry and he does paper work most of the time. The printer's function is questionable sometimes but it's a big help. We do not have a problem with printer ink because we get it cheap online. Ingrabber.com provides cheap ink that can be used for HP printers like ours. Because their ink prices are affordable, we save extra money on inkjet cartridges.

Saving money is good. We need it for we had a tight budget from the big move.

Thirty Five Today

I would like to thank everyone (including my family and friends) who greeted me today. The birthday gifts are highly appreciated too. Aww, I am 35 years old. Five years and I will be 40. Yikes! Hahaha!

I thank God for life and good health. Every blessing is counted. Many plans in the future are noted. Birthdays are worth celebrating. I celebrate even in a very simple way.

Happy birthday to me!

Never Disagree When Talking About Food

While visiting with my girl friends, talking never ends. We just love to talk just about anything. It is fun especially if one is a joker. And after that long chats, we find ourselves looking for a place to eat. Sometimes we are lazy to cook that we look for nice restaurants nearby.

We never liked spicy foods so we usually go to a seafood or a Filipino restaurant. In some special occasion, my friends and I visit a fancy dining place in the city. Most of us are not familiar with the area. That is why we do online direction search with local.com. It has accurate directions to the venues of your interest. Plus, we find the website helpful and easy to navigate.

Today's Humor: New Number

A woman was getting swamped with calls from strangers. The reason? A billing service had launched an 800 number that was identical to hers. When she called to complain, she was told to get a new number.

"I have had mine for twenty years," she pleaded. "Couldn't you change yours?"

The company refused, so she said, "Fine. From now on, I am going to tell everyone who calls that their bill is paid in full."

The company got a new number the next day.

Organizing My Kitchen

Since I got home from the hospital, I haven't caught up with organizing in the house yet. There are still a big pile of laundry in my closet. The laundered ones (from a week ago) are in the basket waiting for me to fold them. There are clutters in my kitchen counter...this and that. 'Don't have a snack container. Even the spices don't have a rack. Some are up in the cabinet, others are gathered at the corner of the kitchen counter. How I wish one day I will have a spice rack where I can put all my cooking spices in one place.

I wonder if my husband can make me a wall spice rack. That would be a good idea to put behind the pantry door. If not, I will just look at kitchen spice racks in stores. I should have thought about this before. Tsk tsk! See? Now I am stressing myself looking for spice racks.

Love The People Who Treat You Right

I got this quote from a post of a friend (thanks RC) in her Facebook wall. I thought it is very meaningful and inspirational, and I would like to share with you.

Inspirational Quote of the Day:

There comes a time in life, when you walk away from all the drama and people who create it. Then You surround yourself with people who make you laugh, forget the bad, and focus on the good. ♥ So, love the people who treat you right. ♥ Pray for the ones who don't. Life is too short to be anything but happy. ♥ Falling down is part of LIFE...getting back up is LIVING.

Weekend Snapshot: Gifts

My girl friends N and D came to visit us Saturday. They were my neighbors when I was in Fort Worth. Also, we had planned to celebrate mine (Jan. 29) and N's (Jan. 20) birthday together so we went to a barbecue restaurant in Lavon.

It was fun. I am happy to see my friends again. We talked, talked, and talked. After dinner, we went to Plano and visit my cousin.

They gave me presents too! N brought me a Halle Berry perfume (adds to my collection). And D gave me a can opener. Sure need to replace the old one in the kitchen.

Thank you so much for visiting N and D! K would be happy to see you again soon.

Cheap Hosting Service For Your Website

My dear friend has finally working on her upcoming online business. She had already set up a website for her online business. We are so proud because her determination is strong when it comes making money. Who doesn't?

The question is, how and where will she get cheap hosting for her website?

A web hosting directory is helpful. She can find top web hosting providers with high ratings and check their reviews for reference. That way my friend can decide which hosting service to choose for her website. Once established, it will be easy for her to manage her online business without a hassle.

Nursery Room Preparation

After the big move, we are finally settled in the house. We are very happy back. A good timing also for the baby's coming.

As soon as we moved back to the house in October, my honey and I have planned the nursery room. We were having a baby girl so I wanted everything to be feminine. The baby's room was painted in November. With the help of family, I started buying nursery decor and baby stuff. The nursery room is not complete without furniture. My brother-in-law and his wife are so nice that they offered us their son's baby bed set.

There are many modern furniture to look at. But we decided to get a set of furniture that my honey and I like best for our baby's room. It turned out great!

On the other hand, I got something that I really like. I will tell you more about it on my review in the next post.

Why I Love Watching SpongeBob in HD on Satellite TV

This guest post from Arlene Guthrie

Even though I am a grown woman, I am still a kid at heart. There is something about watching my favorite cartoons after a long day at work that I really look forward to. I even love to watch them on the weekends. Maybe it's because the show is simple and easy on the mind. It's nothing like watching the news and hearing only horrible and sad stories day in and day out. Cartoons are a way to escape the realities of the world.

If I had to watch my cartoons with a bad picture quality, I probably wouldn't continue watching them. This is why I am grateful for being able to watch SpongeBob whenever I want in High Definition programming on Cable TV Deals. The clear picture quality gives it an almost 3D quality that makes it really easy to delve into and forget about everything else. Even if it is just for 30 minutes, I get to block everything else in the world out and lose myself in the innocence of a good cartoon show.

Winter Weather In Texas 2011

It's freezing cold this morning. The wind chill is getting into my bones.

When I was driving to McKinney for a doctor's appointment, I see beautiful white snow everywhere...the trees, roof tops, road sides are filled with snow. It is beautiful! Our yard was covered with snow, and, I think it is over three inches thick.

The cold weather did not stop me from taking pictures when it was snowing on Sunday. I put my green coat and boots on in addition to two layers of clothing, then my honey and I took videos and pictures outside. It's a wonderful experience every year.

I am looking forward in the coming years to play in the snow with my daughter when she grows up. I bet she will love it.
