Preparing For A Future Online Business

A friend talked to me on her idea of putting up a business. She is just waiting for the right time when to get her husband's approval on setting up her website and web hosting. She was planning this agenda for months now. The purpose is to prepare for a future online business.

A managed hosting is truly a big advantage to those who are engaged in a business online. In this case, website owners do not have to worry about managing websites by themselves because the hosting company will take care of this matter. What's great about managed hosting is that, a server colocation is supplied for data storage for a fast connectivity to networks . In my opinion, the traffic to the website is huge.

My friend should consider acquiring a managed hosting for her website. I wish her success on her business endeavor.

The Gifts Are Ready For Shipping

Gee, my apartment is a mess. There are boxes in the corner and clutters everywhere. We finished packing some of the things we do not use here in the apartment. They are ready to be transferred to the storage.

In addition to that, we are also fixing to send my family the gifts for Christmas. And we already filled the first Balikbayan box. You might be wondering, "Are they gonna send two boxes?" The answer is yes. I accumulated the gifts and stuff for a year and I think that's enough to fill two Balikbayan boxes.

My niece and nephews know about it already. Boy, they are so excited!

Birthday Surprise For Her

It was an idea came up to me before the day comes, giving my mother a special birthday treat that will surprise her on Saturday. I thought since we are not there to greet her personally on her birthday, my honey and I agreed to giving her a bouquet of roses and a gift from Island Rose. She was so happy and surprised. The gift and flowers were delivered on time. That's good.

Sending gifts and flowers to the Philippines with Island Rose has been my honey's tradition back when we were still dating. He sends me flowers even if there is no occasion...just being romantic, you know.

Make those moments special with Island Rose. There are many flower arrangement styles to choose from. You can send gifts and flowers to the Philippines with convenience.

True Crime with Aphrodite Jones

Aphrodite Jones is a true crime writer and she has her own show on Investigation Discovery channel, it is my Favorite True Crime TV Show to watch on satellite tv from bestchoicetv.com.

Every week I am glued to my television waiting to see what celebrity case she has covered and what the true facts are. She covered my favorite entertainer's criminal trials and she believes what I have believed for many years, that there was a conspiracy. She interviews the prosecution and the defense lawyers. She has unseen footage that was never released to the public. She gives her honest true opinion on the facts and does not bite her tongue that is what I really like about her. She is after one thing and that is the truth. She will expose the wrong doers and fight for justice for the victims. She is a rebel with a cause and she is a woman amongst all these men.

I hope her show lasts for a long time because I really enjoy watching it every week like clockwork.

Way Too Busy This Week

I have lots of plans this week. I might want to have a pedicure because my toenails look like 'I-don't-know'. I cannot reach my toes just to cut the nails. My belly is getting bigger for I am in the six weeks of pregnancy. My baby moves a lot and I love it.

My cousin's baby shower is on Saturday. I haven't bought a gift yet. I might shop with a friend later this week. My other girl friend invited me to her son's birthday the same day. I need to look for something to bring for his boy too. But before we go to the birthday party, my honey and I will visit the storage to check the space for a couple of moving boxes. Then, maybe, we might take my honey's co-employees (who came from China) to the Hong Kong Market on Sunday.

Besides packing stuff for the move, there are other things to do. I am gonna be way too busy this week. But I will be okay.

Maintain A Good Credit Score

We will be tight with the budget in the next couple of months, for some reason. We need to pay some of the monthly bills in advance. This is in connection with our moving back to the house. I am glad that our major credit card obligation is close to getting paid off. Though my store credit card still has a balance on it, I am doing my best to pay on or before the due date in higher amount than the minimum balance so I will maintain a good credit score.

A friend advised me not to miss a payment and check my credit score on freescore.com for free. In addition, paying promptly will get you into finishing the obligation fast.

Thankful For The Outreach Program In Texas

"In compliance with the requirements of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) for its member states including the Philippines, all Philippine passport holders are advised to renew their Philippine passport to machine-readable passport or MRP not later than April 1, 2010." - Philippine Consulate General, Los Angeles, CA.

Finally, my report of marriage is done and the renewed passport has arrived. Now my marriage is recorded here in the USA and in the Philippines as well. Why it took us two years to file? Because we waited for the Philippine Consulate's outreach program here in Texas. And fortunately, when I was visiting their website four months ago, schedules of the outreach program (services include: passport application/renewal, report of birth/marriage, application for dual citizenship, et. al.) were posted. My honey and I were very glad that they scheduled one in Dallas. We are thankful because we didn't have to fly to the Philippine Consulate in California.

It's accomplished. I already have a machine-readable Philippine passport.

Redecorating The Windows

It is official. We are moving out of this apartment in two months. Hopefully, we will be in our house before my delivery date comes.

As early as now, my honey and I are already thinking of redecorating the house especially the nursery room. We talked about repainting, replacing the old lighting, and changing window decorations. Of course that includes curtains, draperies, hardware, etc.

My mother influenced me on putting window curtains. Curtains give a good feel in the home. My mother lives too far away to help me with the decorating, so I looked at curtainworks.com to get some ideas about window decor that will suit the look of my house. They have a wide variety of ready-made curtains at competitive prices. Where do you shop for
curtains, drapes, hardware for your window? Please share your shopping tips.

If you are into decorating your home, especially this coming holiday season, curtainworks.com has
curtains, drapes, hardware for your window.

A Big Help Getting Back Onto The Road Of Independence

This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of NMEDA. All opinions are 100% mine.

I am glad my cousin is enjoying her pregnancy, like I do. Like me, she is now staying at home also. My cousin was working as a caregiver somewhere in North Texas. But when she began getting abdominal pains (pregnant at that time), she quit working.

If you think the job of a caregiver is easy, think again. You need to have an enduring energy to be able to perform the job. Attending patients or elderly residents in an assisted living home requires a lot of walking even climbing stairs. Elderly patients really need care giving assistance. And so are the disabled people.

But people with disability can still go the outdoors with the help of NMEDA or National Mobility Equipment Dealers Association. It is the only association that promotes safe driving and equipment for disabled people. NMEDA dealers are the one who sell handicap van and vehicle modifications, not the association itself. They also help in training or product refinement. Besides NMEDA dealers, the association also has the Quality Assurance Program which is based on the principle that, companies must possess a systematic and documented approach to quality. It is the only nationally recognized accreditation program for the Adaptive Mobility Equipment Industry.

Sure is, care giving is tough. But with a NMEDA certified dealer, an elderly or disabled can get back onto the road of independence. Do you know of somebody who needs assistance from NMEDA? You can be of help, too. Visit www.nmeda.org and simply type in your zip code to locate a qualified dealer near you. Do not forget to leave a comment here after doing so.

Weekend Snapshot: Pregnancy Planner And Mag

Besides free prenatal vitamins, I got some free stuff from my first visit to the OB-GYN. The magazines are very interesting to read because they contain helpful resources on pregnancy as well as tips on how to prepare for the baby. The blue one is a Pregnancy Planner/Journal. I record my prenatal appointments and notes on my pregnancy.

Online Dating Site For Singles

This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of MeetLocals.com. All opinions are 100% mine.

Love, they said, is magical. It moves in mysterious ways. It strikes you in unexpected time. And it drives you nuts if you fall but nobody catches you. Sad, isn't it?

Love is precious. To me, the strong foundation of love is when you and your special someone enjoys the company of each other. You feel the spark of compatibility in being together. You have the same interest and outlook. In short, you build a friendship that lasts forever and will turn into a true love in the long run.

Each one of us has different love stories to tell. Mine is not uncommon to couples who met online through dating sites. I do not deny the fact that I joined dating sites, many of them, to find true love. Fortunately, I fell in love with my husband. It was love at first sight.

Online dating sites help single people find somebody to love through the compatibility level of each dimension of their personality. Some people join dating sites just to play around. You should watch out for those kind. If you are a single lady, you might be interested to see Shop4Guys.com and meet single guys. Another one is Meetlocals.com, for those who prefer to meet someone locally. Remember, this is for single adults only. Getting-to-know is one of the best way to evaluate a person. Who knows, you are meant for each other?

There is nothing wrong with falling in love. But it should be with the right person in the right time.

Late Wedding Gift

We were invited to a wedding last month. Unfortunately, we weren't able to attend because of a sudden issue about my health. I was so eager to go but I couldn't. That would be the opportunity to see Seguin, Texas and meet my honey's relatives on his father's side for the first time.

The wedding gift that I bought for the newly weds needs to be shipped soon...as in VERY SOON, because it's been here, for like, a month now. I know it is very late but I want the married couple to know that we thought about them on their wedding day.

The Easy Way To Get The Moving Going

It is a very convenient thing to have a means of help in times of need. You see, one of the hardest thing in life is when you move from one place to another. Whether it is a family or job related, still it is a hard work. From packing your personal stuff to hauling furniture, man, that's tough!

The easy way to get the moving going is to find a local removal company that will give you a hand moving your valuables. Movers can get up to 6 removal quotes in EZ removals. Just provide the moving details such as estimated move date, location, number of rooms...and so on. Then the removal company will give the quotes according to the details provided.

Isn't it nice that using the Internet is the quickest and effective way to find a local removal company?

Up To Something

Oh dear, why is this so hard for me. Something is bugging me right now. I have been checking on this once in a while. And now, it is within my reach but could not get it. Why? Because I am considering my resources. But the rollback is on going, and the affordability gets really tempting. Boy, can't get my mind out of it!

Maybe if I talk to honey about it, he will understand. Don't you think? Ah, I don't know...

Building A House Soon

I am very excited about my cousin's and her husband's plan to build a house. It is great because the location they want to build it is close to ours. She also wants her house built a few miles close to the lake.

They are in the process of looking for a reputable builder so they can work on the house plan. Construction wise, my cousin likes her kitchen and bathroom to be in tiles. She wants her house to look beautiful especially the kitchen. I think subway tiles is great in the kitchen. They might be interested to check the Glass Tiles store for various selection of tiles for the house.

Today's Humor: Thought I Was, But I am Not

A certain little girl, when asked her name, would reply, "I am Mr. Sugarbrown's daughter."

Her mother told her this was wrong, she must say, "I am Jane Sugarbrown."

The Vicar spoke to her in Sunday School and said, "Aren't you Mr. Sugarbrown's daughter?"

She replied, "I thought I was, but mother says I'm not."

House Beautification And Home Improvement

Now we are in the middle of thinking on moving again soon. We need a bigger space because an addition to the family is coming. This time we might, yes we might, move back to our house.

Our house is still rented but, hopefully, we can go back there early next year. Though there is no definite status yet, my husband and I are already talking about house beautification...things like that. We have to repaint the outside. There are some things in the house that needs replacement. I want to replace the chandelier in the kitchen with a brighter one. The bulbs are kind of dim to me. I want a brighter home lighting so I can see the things easily, you know.

My friends suggest to look for crystorama lighting. They have a variety of home lighting collection that fits to theme of the house. I am so excited about this thought. My husband likes the idea too.

Catching Up

My cousin called and we talked, for like, two hours! We haven't talked for a while because she was very busy with their moving. So today's a catch up :) They found an apartment somewhere north of Plano. According to her description, it seems like a nice place.

Oh and, she will be having her baby shower this month. I am so excited! I bet she is too.

Getting Green At Home

Our place is facing the west side of the complex, so it is very hot in the mid-afternoon during the summer. My plants in the patio are getting withered. So I moved them by the front door.

I am planning to transfer my plants in indoor planters where they can breathe more than in their pots right now. It gets tighter because my plants are getting bigger. I can put an indoor planter by the sliding door going to patio. And maybe a decorative planter on top of the counter to bring the green look in the kitchen. Yeah, decorative planters sounds like a good idea.
