Today's Humor: Visiting the Zoo

Three mischievous boys skipped school one day and instead went to the zoo one day for an outing.

They decided to visit the elephant cage first, but soon enough, they were picked up by a zoo security officer for causing a commotion.

The officer hauled them off to the Security Office for questioning.

The supervisor in charge asked each of them to give their names and tell what they were doing at the elephant cage.

The first boy innocently said, "Okay, my name is Gary, and I was just throwing peanuts into the elephant cage."

The second added, "My name is Larry, and all I was doing was throwing peanuts into the elephant cage."

The third boy was a little more shaken up than his buddies and said,

"Well, my name is Peter, but my friends call me Peanuts."

For Mail Security

Mails are delivered in the house almost everyday. I said 'almost everyday' because there's a day in a week that we don't get any. Our mailbox is just a typical residential mailbox you see in a neighborhood (mounted in a concrete).

I just wonder if there are locking mailboxes. How do they work? And if I get a locking mailbox for the house, do I have to have a key for it? I am just kinda curious. Will the post office allow homes to have lockable mailboxes?

Safety At Home, Home's Safety

Like any thing else, all our important belongings should be secured. We also need to secure our lives and future by investing in businesses or getting an insurance.

Our homes need to be secured too. For safety purposes, we make sure all doors are locked whether we are in or out of the house. That is a natural instinct. But is it enough? It is very important to put our home security in priority. Nowadays, we cannot just trust anybody. Installing a home security system will be a wise decision. And almost all of the houses here in the USA got ADT Home Security. Our home has it too.

The Biometrics Process

As one of the requirements in my application for Adjustment of Status here in the USA, I just had my biometrics taken in Fort Worth. Some people I know are asking me what is biometrics. So here's what I answered to their question.

Biometrics is the science and technology of measuring and analyzing biological data. In information technology, biometrics refers to technologies that measure and analyze human body characteristics, such as fingerprints, eye retinas and irises, voice patterns, facial patterns and hand measurements, for authentication purposes. Biometric devices, such as fingerscanners, consist of:
  • A reader or scanning device
  • Software that converts the scanned information into digital form and compares match points
  • A database that stores the biometric data for comparison

This is becoming increasingly common in corporate and public security systems to prevent identity theft. Read more...
