A Busy Yet Entertaining Week

It is the weekend again.  I bet everyone has a plan for out-of-town trips, picnic, a visit to the park, go to a friend's house, or just stay at home relaxing while sipping a glass of wine.  This was an exciting week for us, pretty much.  The Texas Rangers won the 2011 ALCS Baseball and now they are playing in the World Series.  This evening they won the Game 2.  Our attention were kinda divided Wednesday night, when the St. Louis Cardinals and Texas Rangers played the first game, because we were also watching Survivors.

Another exciting event this week was the preparation for my sister's birthday party which will be held this Saturday.  I did most of the transactions remotely and wireless.  Everything's paid off so the last few things my family members have to do besides getting dressed for the party are pick ups (cake, balloons, and flowers).  I did some phone calls too, mind you.  I bet my phone bill for this month is going to be high.  It's alright.  I know how to handle the bills.

The Rangers Goes To The World Series Again

While browsing online auctions, I am also watching the Rangers baseball game against the Tigers.  I do not have total interest in sports except for finals or championship games.  My husband and I are  glad that the Texas Rangers will be going to the World Series.  They are doing great  this year.  Celebrating the win, I have a glass of frozen Margarita.

Also, margarita helps me  relax sometimes.  I feel a tired because my daughter and I went was invited to a kid's birthday party this afternoon. But we had a wonderful time.

Phillies Baseball: The Highlight of my Summer!

Guest post written by Arnoldo Acevedo
There is nothing more American than watching baseball on a warm summer afternoon. The din of the crowd, the calls of the vendors and the crack of the bat all come together in perfect harmony when I am relaxed in a comfortable chair with a hot dog and beer in my hand. For as long as I can remember, I was raised to live and die by the Philadelphia Phillies. That loyalty has traveled with me throughout the northeast. At home, at school, on vacation; chances are I have some Phillies gear on or within reaching distance in a suitcase or drawer.
It is exhilarating to be at the ballpark and take in all of the sights, sounds, and smells of a day at the game. When I can't be at the park though, I follow my Fightin' Phils wherever I am on satellite TV from www.Direct.tv. No matter if I'm home or away or they're home or away, I am taking in every moment of the exciting action, and I wouldn't miss it for the world. This is especially wonderful these past few years, with the team making a series of postseason runs. Not only will I follow the club for all 162 regular season games, but I'll be on the edge of my seat as they push for another World Series title.
