A Good Instrument For Musicians Use

There is nothing better than having a good time in your own home. Though sometimes we need to go out to unwind and get away from the busy work and home schedules. Some of us enjoy going to the karaoke bars. I do. But like I said, there is nothing better than enjoying the karaoke time in the comfort of your own home. No need to worry about the time.

Yet have you wondered about how great the singing voices of your favorite singers are? I know they're gifted with beautiful voice and they know how to sing. But one of the tools that make their singing great is by using a high quality microphone at recording.  That always do the trick there.  This special instrument can do wonders if you find the good one.  So many musicians are rooting for this yeti microphone at musiciansfriend.com . It's very popular and best seller.

Imagine owning this type of microphone for your entertainment use. I bet this will help improve the sound of your voice while singing your favorite song.

There Is Someone Who Believes In You

This is a very strong, touching, and meaningful song.  I dedicate this to those who are facing any kind of struggle in life.  Believe in yourselves.  Be strong and hold on to your dreams. If you think that nobody believes in you, look up in the sky.  He is with you.

Loving You's The Right Thing To Do by Carly Simon

I really love this song...makes me fall in love over and over again with my honey. :)

The very first time I saw her on television was in Piglet's Big Movie. She was singing With A Few Good Friends song.

I asked my husband who's the singer he said "She's Carly Simon. You don't know her?"

"Her voice is familiar," I said. Well, that's why her voice was familiar to me.

If Ever You're In My Arms Again by Peabo Bryson - My Favorite Song

I went to my friend's birthday party last night.  It was an hour and a half drive but it was fine.  The traffic wasn't bad.  It was her 30th birthday.  We had a great time chatting and especially singing karaoke with their Xtreme Magic Sing.  Everybody was lively and cheerful.  On parties like this, there is always a karaoke time.

As I was searching for songs I want to sing, this song from Peabo Bryson brings memories to me.  Well, happy ones because there was a time at a friends' get-together, me and my friends sang this song all together-with full of happiness and cheer.  I won't forget that.  Now I am missing them all.  "If Ever You're In My Arms Again" is one of my all-time favorite song.

Princess Hour Episode 7 Is Cute and Funny

Well, I am back to watching Korean drama again.  I am currently watching Goong (a.k.a. Princess Hour).  I am enjoying it so far and reminiscing the giggles and fascination my young cousins and me had 8 years ago.  :)  Funny, romantic with a little drama.

"Strike back!" - Chae-kyung (Princess Hour).  A line from the cute scene where the Crown Princess visited her school and reunited with her best friends. Episode 7, I think, is the cutest and funniest episode so far (I am still in episode 10 as of the moment).

I Enjoy Being At Home

I am a stay-at-home mom and and a full time housewife.  I enjoy being home taking care of my family.  This is a difficult job because as a wife and mother, I have to do everything so happiness and harmony will always be in the home.

Housework and errands keep me busy.  And when I want to relax, I watch television as my entertainment.  One of my favorite program is a reality talent search show.  Sometimes I watch my favorite telenovela.  It's a drama soap.  My favorite actress is one of the main character in the show.  I admire her acting because she cries easily.  She can make me feel like I am part of the story too.  She was a product of a talent teen variety show three decades ago.  I remember say that she joined an acting audition when she was 7 years old.  And immediately got selected because of her exemplary performance at the audition.  Since then, my favorite actress starred in many drama shows on television and films.  When she was still starting in showbiz, her acting coach is one of the veteran movie star in the film industry.  It really helped enhance her acting talent.

My idol just got married two years ago.  She now has a son.  I admire her for being such a down-to-earth person.  She keeps everything in her life in control.  I guess she couldn't give up acting because it has been a part of her life since she was a young girl.

So this is what I do at home on my spare time.  Relaxing by watching television and keeping updated with local showbiz news back home. :)

Bonding With Cousin

It's Friday. My cousin and I usually get-together for bonding time on this day of the week. If we do not go to the mall for a shopping spree and dining out, we just spend the day either at her house or mine. Today we pretty much hang out at her place. While our little ones are busy playing in the kid's bedroom, my cousin and I have fun talking just about anything. It's been a year since her family moved in to their new home.  I am glad that I have a relative living close to me here in Texas.

The First Famous Person Who Died In 2012

It's Whitney Elizabeth Houston a.k.a. Whitney Houston, an American singer who famously reigned the entertainment music industry with her powerful high pitched voice was found dead Saturday afternoon of February 11, 2012 in her room in Beverly Hilton Hotel.  The cause of death is not identified yet.

I thought she will be making a comeback when she made recent public appearances and her Nothing But Love World Tour. One of my favorite Whitney Houston song is "Where Do Broken Hearts Go".  Whenever I hear this song, it brings back memories of my teenage loves.  Second is the "Try It On My Own".  The third is "I Will Always Love You" from her movie "The Bodyguard".

I am not an avid fan of Whitney Houston but I admire her stunning voice.

It's Christmas Time

Missing my family this Christmas time.  I am hearing Christmas songs on the radio and they make me feel bluer.  Although, the excitement raises me up.  I still have to organize the gifts for my love ones.  My Christmas tree is up but not as tall as last year's.  We have a fiber optic tree this time.

Anyway, below is one of my favorite Christmas song.  I have always liked the melody of it.

Football Season

There’s something about this time of year that really gets my blood flowing. I love the idea of snuggling up at home with my husband while he’s watching football on his directv centennial package and I’ve got something like beef stew simmering on the stove. I know it sounds silly but I just really love how my family taught me about the game so that now when my husband wants to spend the whole day watching NFL GamesI’m not out of the loop. There’s something to be said for getting to spend time with my husband while he also gets to do something he really likes to do which is part of the reason I love that our house is so comfortable. I wanted to make sure the living room in particular was a place that we wanted to spend time in. My husband doesn’t really care – all he’s happy about is that he gets to watch all his games and I’m not nagging him to clean the house or do some home improvements or something!

A Busy Yet Entertaining Week

It is the weekend again.  I bet everyone has a plan for out-of-town trips, picnic, a visit to the park, go to a friend's house, or just stay at home relaxing while sipping a glass of wine.  This was an exciting week for us, pretty much.  The Texas Rangers won the 2011 ALCS Baseball and now they are playing in the World Series.  This evening they won the Game 2.  Our attention were kinda divided Wednesday night, when the St. Louis Cardinals and Texas Rangers played the first game, because we were also watching Survivors.

Another exciting event this week was the preparation for my sister's birthday party which will be held this Saturday.  I did most of the transactions remotely and wireless.  Everything's paid off so the last few things my family members have to do besides getting dressed for the party are pick ups (cake, balloons, and flowers).  I did some phone calls too, mind you.  I bet my phone bill for this month is going to be high.  It's alright.  I know how to handle the bills.

Challenging Puzzle Games From MEIJI

Being a stay-at-home mother is, sometimes, boring.  You move around the house routinely.  Since my priority is taking care of baby's needs, my personal interests are set aside for a while.  But as soon as I put my baby down to a nap, my entertainment time starts.

When watching television is not fun for me anymore, I turn to reading or solving puzzles.  The most challenging to me is solving puzzles.  Before, I used to play Sudoku but I stopped because I found Mejji Puzzle, a much better more challenging puzzle game than Sudoku.  This is the game I am playing at the moment.  It is fun because you can play with different symbols besides the numbers.  It is a great new puzzle game for children and grown ups.  Learn and read how to solve MEJJI at mejji.com and have fun!

Back To Watching Asian Drama

It is kinda boring watching rerun movies on television.  As I mentioned before, our satellite tv is getting lousy.  But we have to stick to it because it is the only satellite tv service in our area.  I can say that most of the channels are nonsense.  I only watch the kids show with my little one and a few movie and game show channels.

I turned to watching online drama just recently.  Remembering the days when I got hooked on watching Asianovelas back home, I thought maybe this time I will be entertained...again.  Besides, free videos online is great.  And as of the moment, I am watching the 2005 Taiwan drama/comedy, "Green Forest, My Home".

Weekend Snapshot: Remotely Devoted

I titled my Weekend Snapshot entry to "Remotely Devoted" because...just look at these remotes!  We are using three at the moment.
Six days ago we ordered a new television online.  Before that, we shopped three different stores to compare prices.  But what my husband saw online was unbelievably affordable because the price of the flat-screen tv we saw online is reasonably cheaper than the stores', and we are getting a home theater system.  What a deal!

Like I said, we are using three remote controls as of the moment.  The direct tv functions have to be programmed so we will only use one remote control for the television. We are excited about our new home theater system.

Scaring Myself

'Been watching scary shows on television recently.  I don't know but I like The Twilight Zone, Tales From The Dark Side, The Outer Limits, and others.  These shows are playing on Chiller Channel in Directv.  Well, these shows are quite old but I like watching them.

The problem is, I will have bad dreams after seeing a very frightening episode.  It is weird...right?

Brand New Television...Please.

Oh, not for now. 'Still have obligations to finish. Huge ones! *Even though this thing really aggravates us, we have to lengthen the string of patience. It is going on and off every time it is turned on. I can hear the sound but don't see nothing!

I hope the issue with the insurance and hospital billing department will get a complete, clear result so we know where we're at when it comes to payment. In this connection, a few plans lay ahead. *We need to get a new television! That's one.

Like I said, we have to finish these obligations before we can buy a brand new tv.

But, sponsors are welcome. :)

Cheap Hotel Accommodation Is A Privilege

Tomorrow we will go to Oklahoma to celebrate our third wedding anniversary. It has become our tradition to drive there and play for a while. We only do this once a year you know.

I booked the hotel room seven days in advance so we will not have a last minute hassle. Surprisingly, the room rate is still the same as what it was a year ago. I am so glad! After all, we are players' club members and this is one of the privileges.

The place is only an hour away from the house. So it will not be an exhausting travel for us.

Watch Local Movies From Home

Another form of entertainment here at home is watching television. Morning, noon, and night time our television is on. But it is limited for a few hours because we are trying to lower our electric bill.

Since we got our Direct TV subscription, I began to see local movies from home. As you may know, we subscribe to Filipino channels also. There is a channel that plays movies way back in the '80s and '90s. I watch those 'tweetums' (sweet, cute films) and comedy films from my favorite movie stars. It is really nice to have Satellite TV connection because signal problems are not bad. Unlike the previous service we had before, our current subscription likely has tv shows and movies that are somewhat interesting to watch.
