Hello February!

Hello February!  What's gonna be our plans this month?  Well, Valentine's Day is coming in two weeks.  My husband was like "Oh no!  I have two girls now for Valentine's Day."  Hahaha!  He's funny.  I don't have anything big planned for V-Day.  Like usual, we will have dinner in a restaurant.  Maybe movie date too?  Not sure yet because I haven't thought much about that.  We'll see.

What's your plans on Valentine's Day?

Didn't Have Time To Prepare Dinner On Valentine's Day

Valentine's Day celebration was really simple this evening.  My husband and I with our little one had dinner at our favorite Mexican restaurant.  I only baked a some cupcakes for dessert.  Baby girl helped with the preparation in the kitchen.  She liked being a helper, you know.  After a big dinner at El Rodeo's, we went home bellies full and ready to relax.  And then, I didn't know that a surprise Valentine's Day gift was waiting for me.  :)

If you don't have time to cook or prepare something on Valentine's Day, just reserve a table at your favorite restaurant for your Valentine's dinner date.  Sometimes that's all it takes to take your stress away.

On The Spot: Love My Mug

Valentine's Day and my honey's treat for me is a lovely tall hearts mug and a Whitman's Chocolate Sampler in a heart box.  They were waiting on the table this morning.  I gave him lots of kisses, Hershey's Kisses. :)

Weekend Snapshot: Valentines Party With Friends

Actually, this was an advance Valentine's Party me and my girl friends here in Texas have been planning.  Gladly the party was scheduled on a weekend it was well-attended this evening.  The food was awesome as usual, and the games were fun.

Balloons and Prizes

Guests brought their own dish-entrees and desserts

The party is not complete without hearts and flowers

I joined the game called "Balloon Popping".  It was supposed to be played by couples.  Since most of the girls did not have their husbands with them, including me, we just paired ourselves.  The balloon has to be popped using our tummies.  My partner and I only popped seven balloons and the winning pair did nine.

Weekend Snapshot: In The Snow, Valentine's Date

February 11, 2010 - It is cold and it's snowing! The forecast was right. When I woke up, I looked outside my window and saw the beautiful snow on cars, trees, and on the ground. The snow is falling like cotton balls from the sky. It's beautiful! I am thankful that Mother Nature still wants me to enjoy some of her snow before the winter ends.

Making a snow ball with bare hands. Brr!

Driving to work that morning.

The power outage the next day :(

February 14, 2010 - It is Valentine's Day. Yes, my honey liked the idea of us going to Downtown Fort Worth for a date. We ate at Pappasitto's Mexican Restaurant.

Red is the color of the day.

My Margarita Sangria

The feast. Lobster tail platter.

Of course, the Valentine's treat.

Nice Hot Shower And A Good Night Sleep

Happy V! So where is the date gonna be?

My husband and I had an advance Valentines date Friday night. We stayed in a hotel close by because our apartment still had no power until this morning. An overnight stay at Extended Hotels conveniently saved our day.

Anyway, it was a pretty convenient hotel to stay in because it has a small built-in stove top and a kitchen sink. The bathroom is nice too. The hotel provides Wi-Fi access but they are charging it per stay. It was just an overnight hotel accommodation but we had a really nice hot shower and a good night sleep.

Speaking of Valentine's date today, I am thinking of going to Downtown Fort Worth after I get off from work tonight. I hope my honey likes the idea.
