Air Stepper Climber For Fitness And Losing Weight

Air stepper climber for my dear husband.
It was a late Christmas present but I got this Air Climber for $25 at local online garage sale.  I was looking for something like this exercise equipment for my dear husband because he needs to lose weight.  This costs $80 at Target.  It is made of hard plastic with maximum weight capacity of 300 lbs.  It's literally brand new because there is no sign of use.  The seller said it hasn't been used and been in their garage collecting dust.

My DH liked it and he's using it every morning.  He is planning to buy a couple of weights (barbels).  Great idea.

Weekend Snapshots: Zumba Party

Everyone was lively and sweating at the Zumba Party this evening.
My cousin invited me to a Zumba Party this evening at the Wylie Recreation Center.  The party started at 8:30 P.M until 10:00 P.M.  The registration was $5 per participant.  I haven't been to dance fitness parties before and it was the very first time I joined the Zumba Party this evening.  It was super fun!  The crowd was very lively.  Almost all wore neon shirts.  The lights brought everybody's glow.  There was a face painting session before the party.  There were free glow-in-the-dark bracelets and snacks (protein bars).  The recreation center also let us use towels.

Man, I tell you I haven't sweat like crazy until tonight.  It was super duper enjoyable.  Sure is nice to do work outs with lots of company because the motivation level is very high.  I bet my body will be sore tomorrow. :)

If there's gonna be a Zumba Party coming soon, my cousin and I will definitely join again.

Natural Supplements to Support Good Health

In the best of all possible worlds, we’d be getting all the vitamins and minerals we need from our food. And while that’s the best way to maximize their benefits, most of us need help from time to time with supplements. That can be particularly true when we find ourselves struggling with certain mental or physical ailments or when we want to engage in some preventative health care as we head into cold and flu season.

Almost everyone has some health issues at some point in their lives, some a natural result of aging and some a result of our nutritional habits. Helping your body by supplementing with sufficient types of vitamins and minerals is one way to engage in self-care. Shops like ovitaminpro.com offer a wide variety of supplements to choose from. One way to shop for supplements is to look at their list of health concerns, which range from things like anxiousness and fatigue to gluten sensitivity, indigestion, allergies, to bone and brain supports. The shop also sorts their product lines by types of formulas, such as liquids, topic gels and vitamin and herbal combinations, as well as by brands and bestsellers.
Before making supplement purchases, speaking to a medical doctor or naturopath about your particular health issues is a good idea. Online supplement shops like this one often make recommendations for certain ailments, or even recommendations for certain lab tests you can get to determine if you have certain vitamin or mineral deficiencies. You can use those recommendations to formulate the questions you want to ask your health practitioner directly, so that you can make wise and informed decisions about your health.

Many supplement shops, including ovitaminpro, also sell supplements to support your pet’s health as well as your own. Canine and feline friends, often so dear to us, can have health issues too. You can find a range of products to support your pets’ health, from chews that will help larger dogs with hip and joint issues to calming chews for cats and small dogs. You can also find natural supplements to support pet immune systems and to give them healthier skin and coats.

Another Fitness Challenge

My cousin and I have been talking about doing Zumba at her house once a week.  This is to keep ourselves fit for good health.  Since we both like dancing, Zumba would be the great exercise for us.

But sometimes our schedule won't meet.  So we decided that we do Zumba at our own home with an agreement that we will record our progress weekly and we will do it to the best of our ability.  So we are into another challenge again.  She invited our other friends to join the fitness challenge.  Gladly they are willing to join.  And the Zumba challenge starts today.  :)

Muay Thai – The Best Way to Lose Weight

Losing weight is most effective if we make a combination of two things – healthy diet and exercise. Muay Thai is a combat sport that can also be viewed as an exercise that burns a lot of calories in a relatively short time. This intense training trend is found in many Muay Thai Camps. Muay Thai is also a mental and physical workout because concentration is required in order to master some moves and skills. Muay Thai can be practiced by both men and women especially when they are looking for an effective way to lose weight.

Calories

Several studies have confirmed that an one hour Muay Thai training session can burn up to 600 calories (this depends on the weight of the person that is performing the training – the higher the weight the more calories are burnt). Knowing the exact amount of calories that you can burn is important because you can easily calculate the calories that you take through your diet and the amount that you can burn.

Nutrition

If you are practicing a diet with lower amount of calories and actively train Muay Thai your amount of weight loss will significantly increase. According to some statistics the number of successful dieters who don’t exercise is very low and that’s why training is essential. A lot Muay Thai trainers can help with your diet and of course you can consult your doctor, too. Muay Thai training requires lots of energy so you must keep some level of calorie intake. In this way you will stay strong and fit.
As you can see Muay Thai can be very helpful if you are looking for a way to lose weight. If you want to have real, traditional training sessions we suggest you visit Thailand where you can choose from hundreds of different Muay Thai camps. In order to save you some time we will suggest you a camp that is very popular among people who want to lose weight through Muay Thai training and that is Suwit Muay Thai camp located in the stunning Phuket Island . You can read more at BestMuayThai news in March 2014 .  For a cheap price you can get a room in this camp enjoy the beautiful nature and practice Muay Thai training while losing weight.

Weekly Humor: Weights

Somewhat skeptical of his son's newfound determination to become the next Charles Atlas, the father nevertheless followed the teenager over to the weight-lifting department.

"Please, Dad," whined the boy, "I promise I'll use them every day."

"I don't know, Michael. It's really a big commitment on your part," the father pointed out.

"Please, Dad?"

"They're not cheap either."

"I'll use them Dad, I promise. You'll see."

Finally won over, the father paid for the equipment and headed for the door.

From the corner of the store he heard his son yell, "What! You mean I have to carry them to the car?!"

15 Years of the Gym

Guest post written by my buddy Lavern Small

The gym has been a staple in my life since my first year in college, about fifteen years ago. I was always a little butterball and I had finally had enough. So I turned up the heat and worked off the pounds. Now I am committed to a lifestyle that promotes health and weight loss because I know that I could become that little butterball again very easily.

I go to the gym religiously on Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Sundays. Before heading out I always give the dogs plenty of loving and treats, set my SecurityChoice home alarm system and grad my work out towel.

On Mondays I swim for around an hour. I try to go super early on Mondays to avoid the crowds that come, especially in summer people flock to the pool. Wednesdays I do a Zumba class that is super fun and is a great dance work out. Thursdays and Sundays I focus on running and lifting. I usually run for about an hour each day and then I do some weights. I really try to focus on my upper body because it is the hardest for me to keep toned for some reason.

I really love to eat and so keeping myself on a super healthy diet is also important to stay in shape. I have found ways to make healthy food palatable over the years.

Healthy Food Tip For Pregnant Women

This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of HealthyTuna.com. All opinions are 100% mine.

As I was thinking on my upcoming job review this month, I never thought the store inventory ended so soon. Store employees, including the managers, and volunteers, done a two overnight stock inventory this week. Every department had an assigned auditor for the inventory. But there are exemption to the task. Pregnant women employees and housekeepers too.

It is just right that pregnant women do not have to work odd hours on inventory. They need enough rest and relaxation after work. In addition to that, they need to eat healthy food during their pregnancy. Lots of fruits, vegetables, and meat are essential to baby's development and mother's body resistance. Eating seafood is very important too. Because plenty of nutrients can be found in fish and shellfish. A healthy tuna meal, for example, is one of the best food a pregnant woman should eat. Besides protein, the benefits of iodine are a big help to the body. One of these benefits is boosting babies brains to help them become quick learner as they grow.

There a many recipes for tuna fish. Our family's favorite is tuna salad. The main ingredients are lettuce, cooked potatoes (in cubes), tuna flakes in oil. For seasoning, a sprinkle of ground black pepper, mayonnaise, vinaigrette, and a little bit of salt. Oh that is so good! Anyway, I cannot wait to see my co-employees baby. Everybody at work adores her and waiting for the baby to arrive in this beautiful world.

Going back, I hope my co-employees feels better after the two overnight inventory job. Some of them came like a zombie this morning :)

Become Health And Body Conscious

Nowadays, we are getting more watchful of our health status. Because of different types of sickness arising, we do our best to keep our families from getting them.

In monitoring our health, the first thing we observe is our weight. Losing or gaining weight depends on a person's perspective. We need to lose weight to maintain good health, same as gaining weight. But being overweight is different. It may become the reason of getting a heart disease. We do not want to be sick, right?

In order to maintain a balanced weight, some people rely on supplements like Herbalife. I heard about this before and even told of good feedback. Since then, it has been the talk of the town. Herbalife Gewichtskontrolle supplies them for weight management supplement purposes. If you are interested to know more about this product, feel free to visit, read, and understand everything. So you will not be misguided.

In The Gym...For The First Time

I woke up late yesterday morning because it was my day off. Laziness struck me first thing in the morning. How about that?

To keep my blood in good circulation, I went out for a walk while the sunshine is still fresh. I decided to go to the apartment's gym, for the first time. There were few residents in there, so I tried running on one of the treadmill. I had no plan of giving myself a sweat but I was. No towel in handy. A thought came to me when I was looking around...we rented a locker in the gym. I just have no idea if the lease renewal automatically renew the lockers rent. The wood lockers are not bad. To me they are just great for apartments. And it is easy for residents to grab their towels or drinks from the gym lockers whenever they do their daily exercises in the gym.

I was sweating on my way back to the apartment. After a few minutes of rest, I took a nice shower. Refreshing :)
