Happy Moment

Our family is very grateful, especially my father, to God above for giving us the chance to find his long lost sister.  Lots of thanks to my relative, Facebook as well, and to the Internet in general.  I knew that one day we will find her. 

My other aunt sent me the profile page in Facebook.  And it was confirmed that she is my father's older sister.  When she named my father in her message to me, I was convinced.  We started exchanging messages the next day telling her information about her siblings and our family.  Then she called her siblings one by one.  Oh that was a very happy moment for them both.  Imagine, more than 40 years my father did not hear any news or word from her until two days ago.  What a wonderful advance Christmas gift.  Don't you think?

Weekend Snapshot: Satin Hands, Peach Preserve

 

My SIL gave me some goodies when we came to visit this weekend-Peach Preserve and hand care kit from Mary Kay called Satin Hands.  The Peach Preserve sure looks delicious.

This is how the Satin Hands work:

1.  You apply a small amount of the Extra Emollient Night Cream (in tube) to clean skin.  For added hydration, dampen skin with water prior to applying.  Do not rinse.

2.  Massage Satin Smoothie Hand Scrub (in dispenser) into hands and between fingers.  Rinse and pat dry.

Challenging Puzzle Games From MEIJI

Being a stay-at-home mother is, sometimes, boring.  You move around the house routinely.  Since my priority is taking care of baby's needs, my personal interests are set aside for a while.  But as soon as I put my baby down to a nap, my entertainment time starts.

Treatment Starts Tomorrow

It is my dental appointment tomorrow.  This is my very first visit to the dentist's office since my pregnancy.  I was about to start my dental treatment last year when I learned that I was pregnant.  My husband and I had to reschedule it after delivery and recovery.

Because of hormonal changes in a pregnant woman's body, the gums will become sore, swollen and bleeding.  So it is not advisable to have tooth extraction while pregnant.  But it is still important to see a dentist or hygienist during pregnancy to prevent dental problems.

I really hate going to the dentist.  I am scared and nervous knowing that my teeth will be drilled.  But as soon as my gums get numb, everything is fine.(Smiles).  My husband saw the dentist first two weeks ago.  We are both thankful that we have a very good dental insurance.

Back To Watching Asian Drama

It is kinda boring watching rerun movies on television.  As I mentioned before, our satellite tv is getting lousy.  But we have to stick to it because it is the only satellite tv service in our area.  I can say that most of the channels are nonsense.  I only watch the kids show with my little one and a few movie and game show channels.

I turned to watching online drama just recently.  Remembering the days when I got hooked on watching Asianovelas back home, I thought maybe this time I will be entertained...again.  Besides, free videos online is great.  And as of the moment, I am watching the 2005 Taiwan drama/comedy, "Green Forest, My Home".

Pre-wedding Party For Her

I had dinner with a new acquainted friend from PI this evening.  Actually, she invited me to the party.  It's a pre-wedding party for her and her sister-in-law.  She told me it is as Gumbo Party because her fiance is from Louisiana.  It is going to be a double wedding tomorrow!  I cannot go to the wedding though.  Conflict of schedule.

But before I head to the party, I drove by to my cousin's newly built house.  Her house is completely finished and, I guess, it needs to be cleaned then she and her family can move any time they want after the closing.  Oh I am so happy for my cousin.  She will be living close.

We'll Be Neighbors

 A friend from PI is arriving today here in Texas.  Actually, she will be flying with her kids. 

I met her in a social networking website recently.  Well, I met her husband first at WOF (The World Of Filipinas).  He said that they were in the middle of the application process (US Visa).  The approval took a while.  Maybe that's how it goes for Spouse Visa?  

Anyway, would you believe that we will become neighbors?  Her husband lives a couple of miles away from my house.  And my cousin of General Ideas, whose house is close to being finished, will be moving soon.  So three of us will be neighbors too.  My friend and her husband will have a wedding again this time here in the US.

A Year After

We went to FW to visit my husband's satellite office.   His co-employees want to see baby too, so we planned the trip well. After lunch, we drove to the office and mingled for a little while.  The secretary gave K a stuffed toy.  A little puppy.  Aw, that was so sweet.  After that, we drove to the store where I worked for more than a year.  And as promised, I came over to visit with baby.  Everybody adored my little girl. 

We spent did the traveling all afternoon.  On our way home, the traffic is not bad as we thought it would be on rush hours.  It was wonderful to see friends again.
