Weekend Snapshots: Queen's Tea Party At The Rose Festival

It was a very pleasant day this past weekend and my daughter and I visited the folks in Tyler.  My little one was very happy to see her grandparents, as usual.

My mother-in-law informed me ahead of time that the annual Rose Festival is on going that weekend. I haven't seen the Rose Festival in Tyler since I got here in Texas.  That Saturday's event was the Rose Queen's Tea party.  The Rose Queen 2014 and her court were gathered at the Rose Garden to meet and greet the public.  So only the three of us went - mom, DD, and me.

There's tea served on one table.  Bottled water and cookies on the other ones.  The cookies tasted really good.  Mom said that the Rose Festival theme varies every year.  This year's is circus theme.  So all the extravagant gowns are designed with the circus inspired in them.

I was in awe with the Rose Queen's and the duchesses' gowns.  They were all creatively designed and made.  I bet those gowns were extremely expensive.

The train of the Rose Queen's gown hung and displayed in the garden at the Queen's Tea party.

I Wish To Have A Garden Full Of Roses

Hello!  I hope you are doing well today.  We just came home from a visit to my MIL and FIL.  My darling daughter and I had a great time, as always.  DD enjoys being with her grandparents.  And she likes it when she spends the night with them and sleep in Na-na's guest room.

We visited our favorite attraction the Rose Garden in Tyler.  I forgot that the Rose Festival is held in October and I missed it.  The roses are in full blooms.  My little one couldn't get enough exploring.  She liked watching the fountain so much that she won't go anywhere else.  We also visited the area where my husband and I got married-the pavilion.  When we were at the Garden, I was imagining my own garden at home has full of different kids of roses.  Oh how fragrant my house would be.

Anyway, we finished our tour in town with a big lunch at Popeye's.

Celebrating Four Years Of Marriage Today

Today is our 4th Wedding Anniversary.  Amazing how time flies so fast and it seems like yesterday that I walked down towards the Gazebo in the Rose Garden of Tyler, Texas.  The wedding day was wonderful.  Though my family wasn't there to attend the memorable event in my life, I was still thankful for everything.

On Easter weekend we went on a trip to Tyler to celebrate Easter with my in-laws and, at the same time, to visit the place where we got married four years ago.  This time, a beautiful little princess is with us.  After lots of adjustments in married life, here we are standing in front of the Gazebo happy and blessed.

My family

As for the wedding anniversary gifts and stuff, I bought something for my honey.  But he will get it next weekend, before our trip to Oklahoma.  It is something he will be able to use in the kitchen because he likes cooking.  I wonder what he bought for me...hmm.

Along With My Spring Outfit

Time flies fast. It is January again and my birthday is approaching. Yay! Anyway, more than two more months to go and spring is here. I cannot wait to wear my spring shoes. Hush puppies shoes are the most comfortable footwear in the world. They are a popular designer brand in my country.

Spring and summer are my favorite seasons of the year. 'Makes me feel active outdoors. Now I am imagining myself visiting the Rose Garden in Tyler wearing my cropped denim jacket along with my spring outfit. It is not complete without my favorite shoes either/or a pair of flowery teva flip flops. I love wearing flip flops too.
