Spring Fever Hits Today

Amaryllis bulb.  Blooming so fast.

I am having a Spring fever.  My friend bought a few pieces of Amaryllis bulb kit in pots few weeks ago.  They were sold very cheap at the store so I asked my friend to buy me one.

I didn't realize that the bulb will sprout very quickly.  I did not plant the bulb right away after I bought it.  My husband was curious what's in the pot so he checked on it and tried to feel what's in the package.  He said he felt something weird in there.  So I decided to plant it following the instructions in the kit.  Sure does the bulb has sprouted (picture 1).  It was very amazing.  The next few days the plant was completely upright with flower buds (picture 2).  We're so happy.

And here it is in full bloom.   There sure is a season for every thing.

Trying to capture a time lapse video of the bloom.

First Freeze Fall 2016

Sipping my coffee, I looked out in the backyard and saw white covering the ground.  I told my dear husband it snowed.  He said, "no, it's only frost." Then I remembered there was a freeze warning in effect 'til 9:00 A.M. this morning.

What a pretty sight.  I hope we will get some snow this winter in Texas.  :)

Spring Coming Early This Year?

Hello everyone! It's February already.  I bet most of you cannot wait for Spring, huh?  Well, I think Spring is coming early this year.  What's your plans in the coming season?  Are you preparing Easter goodies for the kids?

I will be on vacation this Spring so I won't be in the US for Easter.  Hopefully I will be able to get some Easter stuff for my daughter while we're on vacation to the Philippines.

Affordable Home Goods

New decorative pillows
I went shopping for home decor few days ago at Kohl's.  The store has been my favorite shopping place lately because of low-priced items on baby clothes and shoes.  In addition, I find their home goods very affordable too.

When I was looking around I saw these two throw pillows.  I thought they are great for the incoming season-Fall.  Unfortunately, there were only two of them left on the shelf.  I like the colors and the material is soft.  They won't scratch my baby's skin because she likes rubbing her face on pillows.  I just need to learn home decoration and get ideas from my friends here or even from online home decor websites.  I want my home to look simple but attractive.

Sunscreen Is Not Just For Summer

Are you worried about facial dryness?  Change of seasons can also be the reason why our skin gets dry especially in the winter.  Help your skin stay beautiful all winter long with these simple tips.
  • Moisturizing needs change in the winter.  You may need to switch to a more hydrating moisturizer and use it more frequently.
  • Hot water is drying to skin.  Bathe (or better yet, shower) in luckwarm water.  And always pat dry and moisturize while skin is slightly damp.
  • Sunscreen is not just for summer.  Winter sun can also damage skin, so remember to apply sunscreen to face and hands.
  • Dry, hot indoor air can cause more skin problems than the cold outdoors.  Turn down the thermostat and turn on the humidifier.
  • Harsh peels can strip oil from your skin, and alcohol-based toners are drying - avoid both in winter months.
  • Don't forget your lip balm:  Lips can become chapped and cracked in winter.
And if your skin has problems that needs treatment, see your health provider.

Got A Virus?

Me?  Maybe.  I am experiencing nasal congestion and my head is getting heavy.  I need a fast-acting pain reliever right now.  My honey and I were looking for the Excedrin I bought few weeks ago.  We couldn't find it anywhere in the house!  I am so thankful that there is a convenient store right across the road.  My honey hurried out and bought me a couple packs of the pain reliever.  I hope I'll sleep well tonight.

It is the flu season.  If you have not taken a flu shot yet, better go and get one.  But if you don't feel like it, it is up to you.  It is best to have some shield against flu you know.

Along With My Spring Outfit

Time flies fast. It is January again and my birthday is approaching. Yay! Anyway, more than two more months to go and spring is here. I cannot wait to wear my spring shoes. Hush puppies shoes are the most comfortable footwear in the world. They are a popular designer brand in my country.

Spring and summer are my favorite seasons of the year. 'Makes me feel active outdoors. Now I am imagining myself visiting the Rose Garden in Tyler wearing my cropped denim jacket along with my spring outfit. It is not complete without my favorite shoes either/or a pair of flowery teva flip flops. I love wearing flip flops too.

Hot Summer Stuff

Oh boy! What a day! I was very busy today. Busy searching for summer stuff on the Internet. Hahaha! Yeah, that is how excited I am for the next season. 'Cannot wait to jump in the swimming pool or run to the beach on a hot summer day. But before anything else, I have to look for a cute and sexy swimwear for my petite body. Again, the Internet is my outlet.

There are many colorful bathing suits online that will match every woman's taste and sizes. There is a two-piece bathing suit that caught my interest while I am browsing Amiclubwear.com this evening. As you can see, the design and color are attractive. This is not very revealing, is it? I can tell that this set will look pretty on me (confident, huh?). Plus, I can mismatch both pieces to any color of swimsuit tops or bottoms. With the best deal in this bathing suit and other summer accessories in Amiclubwear.com, there is no reason to hesitate shopping for them.

Kind of exciting because I already have a plan to go swimming with friends. At the swimming pool will do but I love going to the beach better. I enjoy playing with the waves and walking along the beach sands.
