New Shower Curtain

Our guest bathroom has a new shower curtain.  Since we moved back to our house two years ago, the shower curtain hasn't been changed until today.  :)

I found one that matches the color of the bath rugs.  The new shower curtain has Sakura flowers on it that kinda have shades of red.  I am very pleased about it.  It is hard to find curtains that will match the theme of your bathroom.  I replaced the shower curtain liner too. 

Bathroom Problem

Now we have a problem.  The rubber seal in the shower room has already given up.  My husband is kind of pissed off because we are getting closer to our departure for our upcoming vacation and problems like this one comes up.  Now we have to get it fixed before we leave.   Hah!  It's always something.

Clogged Tub Drain

The bath tub in the the guest bathroom is clogged.  Again.  My honey said it might be because of hair.  I admit that take a shower in the guest bathroom.  It does not mean that I do not like our master's bath but, I like the pressure of the shower in the guest's bath better.

Last night I poured a liquid agent in the drain.  I waited 15 minutes for the agent to take effect.  After that I ran hot water to flush the chemical for five minutes.  I do not think there's a difference in draining like before.  Ah!  So frustrating.  I have to redo the process tonight when my husband gets home.  Or, I will just let him do it. :)

Maintaining a home needs patience and money.  Of course a little knowledge in plumbing, electrical, engineering and the like.

I will be a hypocrite if I do not care about having a nice house. Who doesn't want to have a beautiful house? a dream home?

My family and I don't have a house of our own. We rented a room when I was young. I shared a bed with my siblings...even when I was growing up. It's difficult because we do not have our privacy. I've been dreaming that someday we will be living in our own home-with a living room, separate bedrooms and bathrooms.

Careless Move

I do not know if he feels bad about it but, I do. If I could have been more careful and smart, it would not happen. But, what was I thinking on lifting the toilet's tank lid (checking the tank's water shutter because the water kept on running inside) without removing the decor on it including the glass potpourri bowl. It was a careless move. When I was lifting the tank lid, the shells and soap petals did not move but the potpourri bowl quickly slid and landed on the tank's rusty corner, broke into chunks. I apologized to my husband immediately because I did not mean to drop the bowl and feel bad about it.

Now I need to buy a new glass potpourri bowl for the bathroom.

Can Somebody Fix The Water Heater...Please?

We had storm last night and the cable signal was cut. Though the internet connection was fine, we turned the computer off for security purposes. The heavy rains poured all night long, lightning kept on flashing and I heard thunder once in a while. Good thing we did not experience power failure. As far as I can remember, I got some rain water for my plants while my honey took a relaxing hot shower.

This morning he told me that we do not have hot water. Disgusted, he was forced to take a shower in the freezing water. He called at the apartment's office asking what is happening. The staff said that there is something wrong with the whole apartment complex's water heater because of the storm last night, and somebody is working to fix the problem. Until this very moment there is no hot water. Surely we will be freezing cold again in the shower tomorrow.
