Spring Coming Early This Year?

Hello everyone! It's February already.  I bet most of you cannot wait for Spring, huh?  Well, I think Spring is coming early this year.  What's your plans in the coming season?  Are you preparing Easter goodies for the kids?

I will be on vacation this Spring so I won't be in the US for Easter.  Hopefully I will be able to get some Easter stuff for my daughter while we're on vacation to the Philippines.

Ligustrum flowers.

The sunshine yesterday was nice.  Although it was very humid, my daughter and I went out for a short walk and played tag for a little while on the driveway.  Didn't take long and we got very hot so we decided to check on the Ligustrum bushes in the backyard. Sure they're blooming really well again this year.  Unfortunately, not many butterflies are hovering around and feeding.  We only saw maybe not more than five of them.  Unlike two years ago, there were lots of butterflies and bees feeding on the Ligustrum flowers.  Mom and Dad were here on Memorial Day weekend two years ago and they were mesmerized with the scenery.

We are still hoping for the butterflies to come visit our Ligustrum flowers this month.

Weekend Snapshots: Thinking About Planting This Beatiful Burning Heart Tulip

We had a wonderful weekend again.  My girl friend invited us to her son's birthday party and my little girl had a great time playing with other kids in the playground in the backyard.  It was a pleasant day today and being outdoors was so wonderful!  As soon as we stepped on my friend's pathway towards her house, I was captured by this lovely flower.  I was sure it's a tulip but I didn't know what the specific type was until I looked from Google.  This type of tulip is called a Burning Heart Tulip.  Ain't it beautiful?

But before today's party, we gave daddy a little help in the yard yesterday.  My darling daughter was so excited about planting. We bought a few packets of wild flowers seeds at Walmart few weeks ago.  My husband decided to have them planted yesterday.  He made a horizontal plot by the red tips bushes.  Then we scattered the seeds there. :) I hope they will grow fast. I was thinking of planting some tulips at the front yard, too.

Weekend Snapshot: Beautiful Day To Water

What a wonderful week we had.  And it's a great day today.  Me and my darling daughter went out to the yard to water.  She helped me pulled the water hose and water the plants and trees.  She was very attracted to the flowers that she wanted to pick them out.  :)  Reminds me that we need to put some plant food again.

After watering the plants, I let her play in the water in the driveway.  I let the water flow from the hose like rain.  And she liked it.

Snapshot On The Spot: Fresh Flowers Refreshens The Home

I thought I would share this flowers that I bought today.  I missed putting fresh flowers in the house and now I got the chance to grab a bouquet from the grocery store.  The flowers were not that expensive compared to others.  Maybe because they are just the common types.  But still, they look beautiful to me.  Putting fresh flowers in the house makes our homes look refreshing and relaxing too.  It doesn't matter if the flower arrangement is not that great.  I love flowers anyway.

It's my first Mother's Day but there's no big celebration.  It was a very pleasant day.  We had lunch date at Chilli's.  I like their Monterey Chicken but I tried the spare ribs that moment.  That was good ribs!

My honey surprised me with this Calla Lily, balloon, and greeting cards.  I haven't seen pink Calla Lilies before.  I thought they are always white.  He said that's what genetic engineering can do.
