No Make-Up Face

No make-up.  No re-touch.  Just a bare face.  Portrait is taken at a swimming party at a dear friend's place.

Yours truly.

New Digital Camera For My Sister

I received a message from my sister-in-law letting me know that the packages I shipped to them and to my parents were delivered.  And she was thanking me for the belated Christmas gifts and other goods for the family.  I was also thankful that they packages were delivered without any issues.

One of the items I put in the package was the graduation present for my baby sister who, at the time of the shipment of the package, was graduating from college.  My dear husband and I gave her a new digital camera because we knew she enjoys taking pictures.  Of course, we sent her some other nice things too.

This morning while we were chatting on Facebook, she sent me a few of the pictures she took with the new digital camera.  She liked how great the features are and the focus is nice.  So I am sharing these pictures.  I really liked them, too.

Weekend Snapshot: All Girls Photo With The Bluebonnets

Me, my cousin, and a friend of ours together with the kids went to town to have some pictorial in the Bluebonnet patch. It was an immediate plan and we didn't know if our friend would be available to join us today.  But we were glad that they made it.

It's clear and beautiful day but a little breezy.  We had fun taking pictures.  The girls love being outdoors and they're running and exploring.

Happy Easter To One And All!

Weekend Snapshots

Texas Bluebonnets at Mallard Park

Kids are picking the eggs scattered on the ground and hunting the eggs hidden in the small trees during the Easter Egg Hunt.

It's a beautiful Easter Sunday.  The weather is pleasant and the temperature is just right for the Easter Egg Hunt and pictorials.  We attended the worship service at the Community Church in Tyler.  It was a great service and a strong sermon.  I got emotional for a moment when we were singing songs.  I was touched. After that, we head home and some lunch.  Then took family portraits.

How about you?  By the way, Happy Easter!

Lunar Eclipse April 15, 2014

I was able to see the total Lunar Eclipse this morning (1:30-4:30 A.M. Texas time).

A shot wide angle with Mars.

I didn't know that a lunar eclipse was about to happen until I saw a friend's shared article about the Blood Moon on Facebook.

The temperature dropped to about 42 degrees Fahrenheit and I was shivering outside trying to take great photos of the eclipse.  I thought, to keep myself warm, I will go inside my dear husband's truck.  Well I realized that it was not a good idea because I will be in trouble for using the gas for heat.  So I went in and out of the house.

But I tried my best to capture pictures of the beautiful moon.  I didn't want to miss the wonderful phenomenon.  Thanks also to the live stream of the lunar eclipse courtesy of the Griffith Observatory located in California.

There will be upcoming lunar eclipses.  For details click here.

Weekend Snapshots: Spring In The Yard

Weed flowers.
These pretty little blooms are from the weeds in the yard.   My dear husband called me and darling daughter to show these flowers before he mows them.  I told him not to mow the purple ones shown on the left.  They're located by the bushes which faces the road.  The white weed flowers and the single blue flower shown on the right are scattered everywhere so he has to mow them.

Although these are weed flowers, they look really pretty and colorful.

Weekend Snapshots: Thinking About Planting This Beatiful Burning Heart Tulip

Burning Heart Tulip

We had a wonderful weekend again.  My girl friend invited us to her son's birthday party and my little girl had a great time playing with other kids in the playground in the backyard.  It was a pleasant day today and being outdoors was so wonderful!  As soon as we stepped on my friend's pathway towards her house, I was captured by this lovely flower.  I was sure it's a tulip but I didn't know what the specific type was until I looked from Google.  This type of tulip is called a Burning Heart Tulip.  Ain't it beautiful?

Planting the wild flower seeds we bought from Walmart.
But before today's party, we gave daddy a little help in the yard yesterday.  My darling daughter was so excited about planting. We bought a few packets of wild flowers seeds at Walmart few weeks ago.  My husband decided to have them planted yesterday.  He made a horizontal plot by the red tips bushes.  Then we scattered the seeds there. :) I hope they will grow fast. I was thinking of planting some tulips at the front yard, too.

Weekend Snapshots: Bird, Drawing

Although it was foggy the other and rainy today, we still had a great time outdoors.  My daughter went to the library to borrow books and DVDs.  But before heading there, she wanted to do drawing on the driveway.  She saw her wet chalks.  She did a few drawings of me, her cousins, and daddy.  So funny because her drawings look like aliens.  :)

DD said it's me.  It looks like a Power puff girl.

I took a couple snapshots:  DD's drawing and a bird singing on the top of the tree.  She's the only one singing and really brought cheer to me on a gloomy foggy day.

The photos were kinda blurry because I only used my mobile phone's camera.  Unimpressive.
