Enjoy Life Because Life Is Good

Happy Monday!  How was your weekend.  Super hot or no? Here in Texas we're getting really high temperatures again.  Well, it's summer so there's nothing new about that. :)

We went visited the folks this weekend.  Just me and and DD because my dear husband stayed home for he did some yard work and relaxed after stressful work last week.  The grass was so high that some of them were almost 3 feet high.  

As usual we had a great time at Mom and Dad's. Mom made some Beef and Broccoli stir fry and fried rice for dinner.  And a very good sweet iced tea.  We were so full.  Then we head out to the patio and visit.

"Let's sit here and enjoy life," Dad said.  Ah, life is good.

Gratitude Challenge - Day 4 of 5

Day 4/5 - Gratitude Challenge

Today I am thankful:

1.  for a beautiful morning.  My cousin brought some yummy food and a pretty house plant.  It is called a spider plant.

2.  for coffee.  And I am always thankful to the one who discovered it and how it helps to relax me.  :)

3.  that it is pay day again.  Big or small, it is still one of the things to be thankful for.  Some people are struggling to find a job.  I am happy that I was given this opportunity to work again even if it is only a part time job.

Gratitude Challenge - Day 2 of 5

Day 2/5 - Gratitude Challenge 

Today, I am thankful for:

1.  another work week.  I just started on a part time job last week.  

2.  good health, happiness, and love around me everyday.

3.  my cousin's new love life.  I told her that she is not getting any younger. :) She is in love and her husband-to-be feels the same way with her.  Hopefully everything goes well in the processing of the fiance(e) visa.

I had a nice day today.  My daughter and I went out to lunch with my dear husband and his office mates.  We met two newly hired staff and the boss. 

Simple Things Are My Priorities Too

Feels like Spring already.  It's a beautiful day and I did not do much in the house today.  My daughter and I went out for a walk this morning.  She liked going outside to play. 

After lunch I decided to vacuum the carpet in the bedrooms.  It looks really dirty and dusty.  It's been a while since I have done that.  My plan this year is to beautify my house...at least do some touch ups and rearranging the furniture.  Who wouldn't want to see a beautiful and well-organized home? As much as possible, I'd like to minimize clutters.  All the closets are full.  My husband advised me to start Spring cleaning.  I would do that little by little because my hands are full.  It is very hard being away from family because I do not have any assistance in doing chores at home.

Anyway, my daughter's needs are more important.  She is my priority now.  And simple things like walking around the neighborhood or in the park is a big deal to me.

Heart Symbolizes Love

"The heart is the center of one's physical and spiritual life.  Guard your heart that it does not collect unwholesome desires; for what is in a person's heart is who a person truly is."

Physically, take care of your body so you won't get a heart ailment.  Exercise and eat healthy to stay fit.  So you will live longer and enjoy the company of family and friends.  Emotionally, laugh and love.  Appreciate everything and every little thing you have around you.  So you will feel happy and your heart will be full of love too.  Spiritually, seek and learn the lessons of God.  You will acquire peace and enlightenment in your life, and to be able to share goodwill. 

Time Flies Really Fast

It is my birthday in  two days!  Weee!  I am over 30 years old already.  Man, how time flies really, really fast.  There are lots of things I am thankful to God for-another year, comfortable life, healthy family, understanding friends, successful postpartum/recovery, and more.

On Saturday, my friend (who had a birthday this month too) and I are having a small party at her house.  It will be lots of fun because some of my friends are gonna sing videoke.  I love that!

Give Thanks With a Grateful Heart

We will be going to Tyler for Thanksgiving celebration.  My SIL and her family are the hosts this year.  Like what my honey always say, we have a lot to be thankful for.  I completely agree.

It is another year of Thanksgiving.  In general, we are giving thanks for the things received...good or bad.  Because either one has been a part of our becoming...of our attitude towards life and other people.  No matter what we do, we should be thankful to God, and appreciate what's around us.

Thirty Five Today

I would like to thank everyone (including my family and friends) who greeted me today. The birthday gifts are highly appreciated too. Aww, I am 35 years old. Five years and I will be 40. Yikes! Hahaha!

I thank God for life and good health. Every blessing is counted. Many plans in the future are noted. Birthdays are worth celebrating. I celebrate even in a very simple way.

Weekend Snapshot: Growing Life

We are in Fort Worth today as we have planned to clean the apartment unit and turn over the keys after. While cleaning the patio, I noticed this little weed. It's sprouting in the very corner of the cement. An amazing thing to look at.

Life is everywhere. We can find it in every little corner of the earth.

A Birthday Gift From His Favorite Gift Wrapper

A gift to my honey's birthday. Wrapped in a multicolored gift wrapping paper is a Roundtree and York knit shirt. He loves shirts with collars but he is picky when it comes to the fabric. This one is made from organic cotton. Though he does not like the sound of it, he likes the shirt :)

I chose to wrap the gift in a multicolored paper because it looks pretty and cute. I wanted him to smile when gets his present. And he did. He loves it, of course. I am his favorite gift wrapper :)

I Feel So Inspired

An Alternative Source Of Income

I can say that I am getting to the point where earning money with my blogs can be an alternative source of income. Yes, it is true. In fact, the portion of the budget for the gifts that I will be bringing home came from my online jobs. Though I have to be paid monthly, still, there is something coming.

Admit that you are blogging for money too. In tough situations like this, we look for an alternative to earn extra income. And the opportunity on learning how to make money blogging the things we love came. The door to online jobs opened. Of course, the more opportunity you have, the more money you get. But, sharing a blessing is not bad. Revenue sharing to those who are in need can make a big difference.

Before My Instruction Permit Expires...

...I better continue practice driving now. It has been almost 10 months since I enrolled in a driving school last year. My Instruction Permit (IP) will expire on January next year and I want to take the road test before we travel for a vacation in the Philippines this year.

Yes. We are planning to travel back home. And my honey want me to take the road test as soon as I feel the comfort and confidence behind the wheel. The pleasant surprise came and I am very thankful to God for the blessings He is granting us.

Having A Baby

'Got a news from my friend in Mineola. Our girl friend in Indiana is pregnant. Yey! She is having a baby. I am so excited about it. I bet she and her husband is very happy with the blessing. Ugh...she beat us (chuckles). I will talk to her on my day off so we can have much time to chat about things...cannot make it during my working days because I do not have enough time.
