Rosa's Cafe Lost And Found

Rosa's Cafe Mexican Restaurant
DD and I had early dinner yesterday afternoon at Rosa's Cafe.  Then I had to go back last night because we found out that Bunny was missing and she said she left it there.  Fortunately, the restaurant has a  Lost and Found.  Bunny was there! Everybody's happy.  :)

Company Christmas Party 2014

Let us celebrate.
Happy Holidays, everyone!  It's the most wonderful time of the year.  Families and friends get together.  Holiday parties are held everywhere.  I honestly tell you that Holiday season is my much-look-forward-to time of the year.  I always feel the cheer and excitement when this special occasion comes.

My husband and I attend his company's Holiday party last Saturday.  It was held at an Italian restaurant.  I was glad that the venue is closer to our place this time and I just had to let my cousin watch for our darling daughter for a few hours that evening.

It's great to know and see that companies like my husband's give yearly Holiday parties like this.  It is very motivating and rewarding.  I got to meet and mingle with his co-employees in parties like this.  And, it is also a great time to celebrate for the wonderful year that the company had.

Merry Christmas!  Cheers to you.  And let us not forget the main reason of the season. We are remembering the birth of Christ.  We are celebrating a birthday.  May the Almighty's graces be with us in the New Year and always.

My Favorite Dish

Mongolian Beef

This dish is my favorite as of the moment.  There is a Chinese Restaurant in town that makes this and I really liked it.  It smells good because of the green onions in the dish plus the aroma of the Chinese seasoning.  The beef is tender and tasty.  My daughter likes Mongolian Beef too.  I will try to look for a recipe for Mongolian Beef and cook it for dinner some time.

Weekend Snapshot: A Pleasant Play Day

We had weekend date-me, hubby, and baby.  The plan was to take baby to the Play Area in Stonebriar Centre Mall.  Before that, we went to McKinney and bought a couple of jeans for hubby in Academy.  He likes Wrangler jeans and Academy has a very reasonable price on them.  Then we ate lunch at Panda Super Buffet by Hwy 75.  We had a big lunch.  The seasoning on the food is not overpowering so that's good.  I was not able to eat the dessert because there's no more room in my tummy.

Then we went ahead and drove to the mall.  Hubby haven't been to Stonebriar Centre in Frisco.  I showed him where we go to when I take baby out for a play.  At least he got to get familiar with the place too.  The Play Area is always packed with kids whenever we go there.  My baby enjoys running, crawling, climbing, sliding, and interacting with other kids also.  It was a fun family weekend.

Weekend Snapshot: Merry And Bright

We had a great time at my husband's Company Christmas Party this evening.  It was held at The Maggiano's Italian Restaurant in Plano.  The party was well-attended by employees and  their significant others.  Some members of the management who are based in California, came over to attend the party.  We had a nice fancy dinner.  They did a White Elephant Chinese Auction style for gift exchange.  Oh it was fun!

The photo above was a part of the big Christmas tree in the Banquet Room.  I was sitting next to it so I thought I might want to take a photo of it.  The lights, the ornaments, and the tree itself looked pleasing to the eyes.

A Weekend Date At Chili's

A weekend date with the family is very important to strengthen the happy and harmonious relationship.  It does not have to be expensive nor elegant.  A simple lunch or dinner in a restaurant that both parties agreed to dine in is nice.

Our family went to Chilli's for lunch.  As always, my honey ordered JalapeƱo Burger Sandwich.  I got Margarita chicken with rice and black beans.

Ideal Restaurant

The reason why one of my girl friends plan of putting up a restaurant is that, the location is unclear. Though she is willing to lease, the area she looked at seems unsuitable to her ideal customers.

She requested me to gather information on price comparison on restaurant equipment. Not an easy thing to do, I know. But I successfully provided her the information she wanted. She studied the details carefully. Another thing she's concerned about is the kitchen equipment price comparison. One supplier has the appealing price but my friend still has to make up her mind on the proper location.

Restaurant equipment price comparison helps in deciding where you can save. There are huge selection of kitchen equipment, but only in price comparison on kitchen equipment can you have a piece of mind on choosing the right one...especially if you are into energy saving.

My friend needs more support right now. Go for it girl!

Fussiness At Big Daddy's

I was craving pork barbeque for dinner. I thought of Big Daddy's because we passed by it when we picked up the portraits this afternoon at JCP in Rockwall. Finally we had our portraits done after the disappointment we had from the other JCP store.

Anyway, the plan was to dine in at Big Daddy's. But the restaurant was fully occupied. And my little daughter, all of a sudden, got fussy. Surely it's because of the vaccination she had yesterday. And the place is kinda loud-cow bells banging whenever somebody is entering and exiting and a crew pours crushed ice in the soda machine. Baby startles and cries. So we agreed to order to go.

Never Disagree When Talking About Food

While visiting with my girl friends, talking never ends. We just love to talk just about anything. It is fun especially if one is a joker. And after that long chats, we find ourselves looking for a place to eat. Sometimes we are lazy to cook that we look for nice restaurants nearby.

We never liked spicy foods so we usually go to a seafood or a Filipino restaurant. In some special occasion, my friends and I visit a fancy dining place in the city. Most of us are not familiar with the area. That is why we do online direction search with local.com. It has accurate directions to the venues of your interest. Plus, we find the website helpful and easy to navigate.

Weekend Snapshot: Gifts

My girl friends N and D came to visit us Saturday. They were my neighbors when I was in Fort Worth. Also, we had planned to celebrate mine (Jan. 29) and N's (Jan. 20) birthday together so we went to a barbecue restaurant in Lavon.

It was fun. I am happy to see my friends again. We talked, talked, and talked. After dinner, we went to Plano and visit my cousin.

They gave me presents too! N brought me a Halle Berry perfume (adds to my collection). And D gave me a can opener. Sure need to replace the old one in the kitchen.

Thank you so much for visiting N and D! K would be happy to see you again soon.

Your Easy Way Of Local Search

My honey and I like to eat in restaurants on special occasions and finding a place to dine in here in Fort Worth is not difficult. There are lots of local restaurants within the city. In fact, we went to Pappasito's on Valentine's Day.

Before our date, I went to a spa and pampered myself. I did not drive too far because the spa is just a few miles away from our apartment. Not more than 15 minutes and I arrived at my destination right there.

It is very convenient look at a local search directory online for establishments and services. It is because you will save much of your time, and it works as your local yellowpages on the Internet.

New Year's Eve Dinner

New Year's Eve dinner at Uncle Julio's Mexican Restaurant in Fort Worth.

The wait to get a seat was an hour and ten minutes. That's how busy the restaurant was last night. We're among the walk-in customers. Some had an early phone-in reservations which, we haven't thought of doing.

At SeaWorld San Antonio 2

Day 2 - 'Woke up early in the morning for breakfast. The breakfast buffet at the hotel starts at 6:00 until 9:30 A.M. Though I still would like to sleep more, there is no choice but to get off the very comfy bed. After eating breakfast at nine o'clock, my honey and I got ourselves ready for the second day adventure. Same as Day 1, we paid another $15 for a whole day general parking at SeaWorld.

Dinner Date On Father's Day

Last night, my honey and I went to Grapevine. We had a dinner date on Father's Day. It has been weeks since the last time we had a romantic dinner date.

We went to a Mexican restaurant in Grapevine. At first we did not know where to go until we agreed to dine at Cozymel's Restaurant. The location was confusing to us so we searched for the direction in local yellopages online. We found the exact location quickly because of the easy and quick zoom map in the page. Getting directions of local restaurants online really helps. Using local search service on the Internet saves time too.

Fast Food Job Experience

When I was working in a small fast food somewhere in Quezon City (Philippines), my work schedule was like a punishment. Would you believe I worked in a 6 to 6 schedule or 12 hours a day? That was a whack! My major task was serving food and wiping chairs and tables.

Anyway, the most disgusting problem in that fast food was flies. There were flies everywhere. The management had to buy fly lights to be placed in the four corners of the dining area. And you know what, the fly control solutions like the fly lights were very effective. They are highly recommended for open fast food operations on the streets even for fly control around homes and restaurants too.

Don't you hate flies?

Anniversary Lunch Date

Our anniversary lunch date yesterday was awesome. It was Easter Sunday and it was our first wedding anniversary too. After the heavy rains that morning we went to TGI Fridays and had a big lunch.

Dragonfire Chicken

Sizzling Chicken and Shrimp

I ordered the Dragonfire Chicken. It is a grilled chicken breast with sweet, spicy sauce combined with pineapple tidbits and diced tomatoes. It goes with rice pilaf and broccoli. My honey got himself the Sizzling Chicken and Shrimp smothered by melted cheese. It comes with mashed potatoes.

Vanilla Cheesecake

For desert we ordered the Vanilla Bean Cheesecake. It was served with chocolate syrup and strawberry on the side. Oh we loved it! 'Wondering where's the strawberry? I ate it before I took the picture :)

Our bellies were full as we drove to the country afterwards.

Weekend Celebration In Tyler

My two days off passed by so fast. It is now Sunday night and we are few hours away to another working day. My honey and I went to Tyler for the weekend. His parents invited us to come over to celebrate my birthday with the family. We had dinner at Red Lobster Seafood Restaurant. I ordered Snow Crab Legs with Rice Pilaf. Mom and Dad had Seafood Platter and Fried Catfish for my honey. Well, I really do not remember what my sister-in-law and her husband had. Sorry for that. After the big dinner, we ate the chocolate cake my sister-in-law brought for me. Yummy! And she gave me a pretty shirt too!

Then this morning she came over to Mom and Dad's to trim my hair. Also she taught me how to put eye make-up. At lunch, Mom cook some pot roast. Boy, it was so good!

To Mom and Dad, S and K...thank you so much!

Lunch At International House Of Pancakes

Yesterday is one of the wonderful days that we enjoyed. My husband and I went to IHOP (International House of Pancakes) for lunch. It was the first time I ate there. At the same time I was pretty excited too because I had a coupon. ^-^

I ordered this huge Tilapia with red potatoes and corn on the side. Also it came along with a slice of garlic bread and green beans. My honey got a breakfast meal, huge omelet with hush browns. We were stuffed!
