I know every one of us adore the cutest things in this world.  Whenever we see a neatly designed coin purse in the store or a colorful bouquet of flowers set on the table, we cannot resist smiling with admiration.  Our heart feels happy.   What more can we feel when we see a very cute baby or a puppy ?

Same as anybody else, I love domestic animals too.  In fact, I have a dog and a cat back home.  The most pleasing thing is when they let you pet them.  On the other hand, I love babies.  As a matter of fact, I have one almost a year old now.  She is the most adorable darling baby in the whole world.  And one of the best thing happened in my life.  Every little she does, every little milestone she achieves makes me proud.  I do not have to teach her tricks because she knows how to tickle my adornment with her smart development.  She might have a chance to win a photo contest.

Do You See One, Two...Two Dogs?

Yes.  And they are big beautiful black dogs.  They're at the back porch this morning.  Looks like they are just playing but the dog with white hair around the neck was sniffing under the barbecue pit.  I am not sure if their owner is on the road somewhere strolling with them.  When I made a noise at the door, the playful dogs ran away.


And oh, about a couple of weeks ago I saw a dirty white dog in our front yard.

Foggy Monday

It is a foggy Monday morning.  The temperature is low and it is cold inside and out.    I put on layered clothing plus a sweater.  That feels comfortable.  Everybody is driving slowly for sure.  In this type of weather, we have to be very careful driving.  We can barely see and the roads are wet.  

When my honey got home from work today, he told me it took him 30 minutes before he passed the town this morning on his way to work because Hwy 78 was backed up starting at the park nearby.

A Busy Yet Entertaining Week

It is the weekend again.  I bet everyone has a plan for out-of-town trips, picnic, a visit to the park, go to a friend's house, or just stay at home relaxing while sipping a glass of wine.  This was an exciting week for us, pretty much.  The Texas Rangers won the 2011 ALCS Baseball and now they are playing in the World Series.  This evening they won the Game 2.  Our attention were kinda divided Wednesday night, when the St. Louis Cardinals and Texas Rangers played the first game, because we were also watching Survivors. 

Another exciting event this week was the preparation for my sister's birthday party which will be held this Saturday.  I did most of the transactions remotely and wireless.  Everything's paid off so the last few things my family members have to do besides getting dressed for the party are pick ups (cake, balloons, and flowers).  I did some phone calls too, mind you.  I bet my phone bill for this month is going to be high.  It's alright.  I know how to handle the bills.

The Rangers Goes To The World Series Again

While browsing online auctions, I am also watching the Rangers baseball game against the Tigers.  I do not have total interest in sports except for finals or championship games.  My husband and I are  glad that the Texas Rangers will be going to the World Series.  They are doing great  this year.  Celebrating the win, I have a glass of frozen Margarita.

Also, margarita helps me  relax sometimes.  I feel a tired because my daughter and I went was invited to a kid's birthday party this afternoon. But we had a wonderful time.

"Please, Dad," whined the boy, "I promise I'll use them every day."

"I don't know, Michael. It's really a big commitment on your part," the father pointed out.

"I'll use them Dad, I promise. You'll see."

Finally won over, the father paid for the equipment and headed for the door.

Time Is Precious

I always have been fascinated with jewelry and accessories.  The most precious accessory collection for me is a watch.  I like automatic watches.  And I do not deny that I enjoy shopping for accessories like watches for myself or for a a loved one.  In fact, each adult member of my family back home received these as gifts during our vacation two years ago.  Some of them I bought online because good deals were for a grab.

My honey also gave me a watch as a gift on my birthday.  I wore it everyday until I got pregnant.  I gained weight due to pregnancy so I bought a new for on-the-go use.  Wearing a time-piece has become a part of my personal routine.  I cannot leave the house without it.  There was a time in my life (years before I got married) when I had a strapless watch.  My clothing has to have a pocket because I put the watch in there.  So whenever I had to check for time, I would just take my watch out of my pocket.  Or sometimes, I put it inside the pocket of my purse.  Weird, right? That watch is still in my possession up to now.  I value the things that are given to me.

Sister's Debut

"Happy 18th Birthday to my baby sister today!  You have grown into a young lady now.  We are wishing you the best of everything.  God bless you."

My baby sister turns eighteen years of age today.  Whoa!  Seems like yesterday and, oh how time flies so fast.  She is the tallest among the four of us, man.  Well that is what afternoon naps can do, I believe.

Her birthday celebration will be next weekend because this week is their examination week in school.  We planned for the dinner party for two weeks now.  The party is going to be held at a resort hotel in Ormoc City.  I hope everything will turn out fine.  She is very excited and anxious about this.  The function room and hotel accommodations are finalized already.  She and the family invited most of the guests personally.  The souvenirs are on their way.  We still need to work on some few things this week.  After that, we are all set for the dinner party.

Apartment For Rent

A friend of mine just flew abroad with her husband.  They are starting a new life as a newly wed so, they are renting an apartment for now.  After shopping for cheap and convenient place to live in, they finally found Calgary apartments for rent.

Falconcrest Village located in the Northeast Calgary offers as low as $863 a month with two spacious bedrooms and one bathroom.  Good price for two persons for a start.  My friend likes it there because it is close to the airport and mall.  Oh yeah, she likes shopping too.  I miss her already.

Account Locked

So after few days of waiting to solve my problem with the other online payment service, here comes another one.  I waited for a week to have them unlock my account.  Well, it is my fault because I did not provide the complete information.  Anyway, that problem was solved.  I was happy because I thought my money will be transferred to my bank now.  That is my earnings from online jobs.  But when I tried logging in, the password did not match to what I supplied.  What a pain!  I am pretty sure I remember my log in password. I reached the three attempts and they all failed.  My account is locked again.  So I now I have to undergo to the password retrieval process.  Arg!  It will take another week, again, before I receive a response from them.  I hope the problem will be solved soon.  For the meantime, all I have to do is wait....(sigh).

A Weekend Date At Chili's

A weekend date with the family is very important to strengthen the happy and harmonious relationship.  It does not have to be expensive nor elegant.  A simple lunch or dinner in a restaurant that both parties agreed to dine in is nice.

Our family went to Chilli's for lunch.  As always, my honey ordered Jalapeño Burger Sandwich.  I got Margarita chicken with rice and black beans.

TV Package Degrade

We are trying to watch our weekly spending because there are many priorities.  And as part of the monthly bill cutting to save extra money, we degraded our tv package yesterday.  Though it was a drastic decision on my side, at least about $20 will be taken away from the next bill...I hope.  This is only the beginning.  I would like to be successful in decreasing our future monthly bills.

Weekend Snapshot: October First 2011

It was a great weekend, as usual.  And we had a wonderful time on honey's birthday.  The family came over and my cousin with her daughter came to celebrate with us, too. We had smoked pork, Italian potato salad, tomato and cucumber salad, buns and bread, chocolate cake, frozen margarita, and soda.
